[Thalmar Firesteel]

"It should be around here some where" Thalmar exclaimed as he lead the to girls to his village home with Nightscar by his side. " wait ... Something is wrong , there is no music that plays from the town square every Wednesday evening and there is none of the sounds of people to be heard." " stay here while i take a look around" he says to the girls " i will be right back" and with that thalmar and Nightscar sneak into the village.

[Skye Jones]

I lean back against one of the houses as Thalmar walked into the village. " So Dami, how've you been?" I ask casually, while trying to stifle a blush. "been awhile since we've seen each other. Though this meeting was not the best, it's nice to see you again." I smile at you and brush the hair from my face momentarily, while I adjust the patch covering my left eye.

Dami had been wondering why the village seemed off for the whole walk to it. She wasn't very scared per say, but she definitely wasn't happy about going there. It was more of a tingling along her spine that told her if she didn't run something bad was going to happen. Although future sight wasn't Dami's power so of course she kept walking. The whole way she kept trying to figure out why she didn't like the idea of seeing the village. Once they were there Thalamar said something about waiting. So that was what Dami did. She was hardly listening to Skye as she spoke. Then it hit here. "Darkness." She whispered angrily. Instantly moving to go get Thalamar away from the village. She had learned about the village at the Chaser Academy. This place was crawling with Darkness. It was dangerous even during the day.

Dami grabbed Skye by the hand and pulled her along behind her as she walked deeper into the village to get Thalamar before he was torn apart by Darkness. This was over her head. Dami didn't even have her powers completely under control. The switch went off. No more emotions were needed at that time. Right now Dami needed to find Thalamar and get them all out of there as quickly as possible without dying. Fear and worry just got in the way of that objective.

I look at Dami when I hear her say something."What was that?" Suddenly she grabs my hand and pulls me along, into the village. I blush harder and let her lead me."What's wrong?" I ask concerned after seeing her expression. Then suddenly it hits me, like walking into a brick wall. Darkness. "He doesn't know about the darkness here, does he?" My expression goes from slightly embarrassed to concerned and ready to fight in a matter of seconds. 'We have to find him,and soon." I tell her, noticing the growing darkness.

[Viktor Angelus]

He stalked the night like a tiger searching out its prey. He did not have to search long, though. He could sense The Darkness from a mile away as he sped towards the village up ahead. His movements were accelerated by his power and he moved faster than any normal human being. He was fast enough to match a Razor… Which is what he may have to deal with this night.

Reports mentioned the abandoned village out in the wilderness where Darkness was amassing. It would be a good idea to deal with the situation before it got out of hand. As a senior Chaser with the most success, he was sent on the deadliest mission – and he preferred to go solo. He would be able to let loose a bit more and not have to worry about collateral damage or harming any innocent.

He stood outside the village and he could sense The Darkness waiting in the shadows of the vacant houses. It was a ghost town… Almost. He was picking up the trace energies of non-Darkness entering the village.

Fools, he thought to himself. Warnings had been posted around the village and within neighboring towns to steer people clear of this area. Whoever these people were, they were walking into treacherous territory. He needed to act quickly to save them.

It did not take long to locate the three he had detected – a human that smelled of wolf, a Gifted with wings, and… A fellow Chaser? Why would she have come to this place? Questions that would be answered another time.

”You,” he called out assertively. ”What are you doing here? This village is incredibly unsafe. The Darkness has taken hold of it. We could be surrounded at any moment.” He was concise and to the point. His glasses gleamed the moonlight, concealing his steel grey eyes, as he regarded the three – waiting for someone to answer.

As soon as he entered the village he saw that there was darkness everywhere. how long had he been gone on the hunt for the bear. ether way the village is in ruins and he needed to grab two important trinkets from his house on the outskirts of town. one is a tooth necklace he got to remember Aries, and the other was a engraved steel Karambit that thodrur gave to him. as he was entering his ruined house he heard shouting from somewhere he could not see who it was but he knew that the shouting would attract attention to them he hurried and grabbed the items from his safe and begun to leave.

As soon as I heard the voice I spun around, drawing the dagger from my boot and assuming a defensive position. "Who are you?" I asked cautiously, so as not to provoke an attack. "What are you doing here? Don't you know it's dangerous?" I adjust my position, stepping protectively in front of Dami, hoping that she can hold her own in a fight. Who is this guy? What is he doing here? Doesn't he know this place is dangerous? I reach out with my mind,searching for information on him. He's a Chaser. I lower my defenses slightly and step closer to him, looking him in the eyes. The red of my visible eye seemed to deepen and cocked my head to the side, looking him up and down before resuming my search of his eyes. Those eyes. So grey and cold looking.

Dami didn't asnwer a single one of Skye's questions. She was going to find Thalamar and then get out of the village. She hadn't even gone on a real mission yet. Dami looked back and forth each time she got to a corner. She checked behind her almost every second. She was being as protective as possible. And then somebody shouted. The loud noise startled Dami and her concentration was broken, making her hold on her own emotions waver and the thoughts of 'oh wow we are all going to die' come back. Dami tried to contain the sound so as to not alert any nearby Darkness, but she wasn't fast enough and the shout could be heard. 

It was almost an instant reaction. Dami reached for the pair of brass knuckles with spikes that she kept with her no matter what. She slipped them onto her fist and focused again. She noticed Skye step between her and the guy. "Everybody shut up." Dami whispered, using her powers to make sure they all heard it but nothing else could. She was trying to hear every little sound going on in the village, trying to find out where everything was. She wasn't concerned with the actual person right now.

Then there it was. The slightest swish of a noise. It was fast. That meant Razor. Dami was breathing hard and trying to get her emotions in check, but no matter what she tried she just couldn't do it. All she could think of was the last time she thought she could fight a Darkness. It came through an alleyway running towards them and Dami met it with her fist slamming it down. It disappeared into the dust that came from leftover Darkness. She was freaking out. Dami looked at the person who had showed up now. He was older than them and hopefully better at fighting.

[Viktor Angelus]

His questions were never answered – only met with hostility. It made no difference, however, because the group was met with hostility of a more sinister kind. The Darkness finally showed up in the form of a Razor. It came dashing at the group, but the female Chaser managed to beat it before it caused any damage.

That was not the end of their dilemma, nonetheless.

He sensed a great surge of Darkness and from the shadows came many minions. Another Razor surged out and hid between buildings. A group of ten or so Troublemakers made their way toward the hunter and the girl with wings. Finally a Brute came lumbering after the fellow Chaser.

Well, now it’s a party… He thought to himself.

He evaluated the situation and his fellow combatants. He would need to deal with the most immediate threat, which was the Razor. If left unchecked, it would inflict fatal damage to the less experienced.

”If you would like to see the sun rise, I would recommend you fight for your lives!”

In a flash of bright light, he created a shield in his left arm and a glowing sword in his right out of thin air before dashing after the Razor. He followed the trail of corruption it left in its wake. His focus was deadly and this would be an easy enemy to dispatch. He had dealt with plenty of Razors, and by now, he knew their patterns.

As he turned around a corner, a great shadow charged toward him. He dropped down onto his right knee and braced for impact as the Razor crashed into his shield. The energy shield stood strong as the disoriented Razor tried to run off. Walking coolly towards the stumbling beast, he raised his sword and brought it down in a fell swoop – cleaving the wicked creature in two. It quickly dissipated into nothingness.

Now he hurried back to the others to see how they faired.

"fight for your lives" " that's all i needed to hear." thalmar turned around and saw over a half a dozen darkness. he runs out of the house to see that there is a lot more then he thought. he activated his keen eye to get a target on one of them and he pulled out his dagger. he charged the first one and stabbed it through the skull while Nightscar was dispatching one of his own. he saw one was behind the winged girl he pulled out his rifle which was now silenced and shot at the trouble maker about to attack.

The darkness was everywhere, we were surrounded. Everyone was fighting for their lives. I pull out a second dagger and start slashing at everything. Dust flies everywhere, blinding me. "Gah!!" I yell rubbing my eyes as I'm tackled. I stab the thing on top of me and jump to my feet. Running over to a building, I climb up to the roof. "Come and get me!" I shout, slicing at everything that comes toward me. Jumping into the air, I snap open my wings and fly up a bit to get a view of the area. God... there's so many. I focus hard and use my telekinesis to push them all back to the edge of the village and create a barrier to hold them there till we can all regroup.

Dami was happy to be rid of the Razor, but then she heard more coming. She gritted her teeth and finally managed to get her emotions back in check. No more fear. Her fighting should be better now. Dami gather herself up as she watched the older guy run off to take care of another Darkness. So much for him helping them.

Dami turned around only to see the biggest Darkness coming for her. She had to deal with a brute? Dami looked down at her brass knuckles and sighed. She was going to have to fighting hard if she had any chance of surviving. Dami danced around the first attack from the Brute and delivered a hard punch to the side of it and although she got her punch in the Brute didn't so much as flinch.

Dani moved out of the way again just as another swing swished past her face. Her long pink hair swished as the punch missed her. Dami got in another punch. This went on for a while. Her punching the dodging out of the way. She was just about to punch again when the monster seemed to remember that it had the power to shape shift into her fears. Her brother appeared before her, soaking wet and older, but it was her brother.

Dami's fist stopped before it even got close to the brute's face. She knew it wasn't her brother. She had to hit it, but she just couldn't bring herself to do it. The Darkness swung and she was too stunned to move. Her arm felt like it shattered on impact and she was sent sliding away. Dami was pretty sure she was dead meat, but then the Darkness started sliding away, as if pushed by some unknown force. Dami slumped where she sat, her one arm hanging uselessly. Dami's emotions were back and she wasn't too happy about it.

He managed to regroup in time before anyone was seriously harmed. Everyone seemed to hold their own against the enemy. The only injury seemed to be the young Chaser’s arm, which had received a vicious punch from the Brute. He could help heal her arm later, for now they needed to finish off the remainder. The girl with wings succeeded in buying them some time with a force field. It was his turn to clean up the rest.

”Stand behind me and brace yourself,” he clearly instructed his comrades. He swept his arm in the direction of The Darkness that was held at bay near the edge of the village. Glowing embers appeared and swirled toward the monsters in a hypnotic fashion. The magically-infused dust landed on the gathered Darkness and at the ground beneath it. He smirked at The Darkness’ bewilderment, but did not pause to waste time. With a snap of his fingers, the embers ignited into a huge firestorm that shook the earth. It took mere seconds for all The Darkness to be consumed by the hungry flames. The fire blazed and roared, lighting up the whole village. With another wave of his hand, the fire dispersed and all that remained was scorched terrain.

No more Darkness… For the time being. He still had to survey the area further, but he could do that shortly.

”Now,” he turned around to face the three behind him. ”Identify yourselves,” he spoke with a composed authority and he stood tall as he regarded those before him.

He analyzed them and assessed their energy levels. His sharp grey eyes saw more than the average human. Each person before him glowed with unique energy, meaning they were all possessed some sort of power. He would discover what each could do in time. For the time being, he patiently waited for an answer.

"well I am thalmar Firesteel" "a local hunter that protected this village from the beasts that inhabit the forest ... or at least i was" said with a proud but saddened voice " i lived in this village for years but i was away for 6 months hunting a bear around the area and i was nearing its cave when i saw her in the field " pointing to the pink haired girl.

[Skye Jones]

"I don't what happened after they met. I was going for a relaxing flight over the forest and I came to a field. they were there talking. I hid in a tree, he saw me." I point to Thalmar "Pulled out a gun and proceeded to shoot at me when I ran off. Thanks to him, I think I broke something." I pull my wing around me and gently massage the spot where I fell on it. "Oh and my name's Skye." I look the guy in front of me up and down while reaching out with my mind to his, searching for more information. I dunno, this guy looks to official. I don't know why, but it kinda makes me feel uncomfortable. He knows about my wings so that secrets out. I better do a better job of hiding the others. I shift my stance and return one of my daggers to it holster on my boot and twirl the other one around my fingers out of habit.


"So, someone else's turn now." I stand there and wait for someone else to speak up. Who is this guy? I know he's a chaser, but who is he? A puzzled look crosses my face, and I look down thinking.
