Dami was still sitting on the ground by the time the guy showed up and killed off the rest of the Darkness. She was still sitting on the ground when the other two began introducing themselves. Thalamar and Skye were very polite about everything, which was funny considering this guy had just made things unnecessarily hard. He could have stayed quiet. He could have just not yelled, but of course he did and because of him they had to fight Darkness that they might have been able to avoid. Skye stepped away from her little spiel as to why she ended up in the village.

Dami supposed that it was her turn now to introduce herself and explain exactly what brought her to the village that was basically filled with death. She stood up and trudged over to the older guy. She could finally get a good look at him now that the threat of Darkness had been dispersed. "Are you stupid?" She hissed. "You're obviously a Chaser. I'm pretty sure that means you understood what was in this village before you came. So why did you think it was such a wonderful idea to shout and draw all attention to us? We could have died!" Dami was infuriated now. She had probably shattered every bone in her arm. She had brought up the memories of her brother, which always sucked, and she had to make sure that the other two didn't die since she was the only chaser. 

Dami growled and stormed away from him. She wasn't really sure where she was going, but the village was probably safe now and she didn't want to be near that guy. Dami expesially didn't want them to notice that her arm was absolutely destroyed. They all seemed fine and if she was the only one who was actually injured then it might make her look bad. 

[Viktor Angelus]

For having just survived an attack from The Darkness, most of the party seemed unfazed. These were interesting people that could dance with death and be relatively merry about it after. At least the pink-haired Chaser seemed on edge. She understood the danger that they were in.

Viktor listened to the sad tones in the hunter’s voice before the winged girl, Skye, spoke up. She showed off her damaged wing, but to Viktor it did not look so bad – a quick fix. He was about to step towards Skye to aid her, but he froze in his tracks. He could feel an unknown force prodding his mind… He had been around enough Gifted to know what an attempt to breach his mental fortress felt like. He looked to the winged girl and found his culprot – her magical energies gave off a glow that he could see.

Viktor’s mind was not to be toyed with…

His steel grey eyes turned icy as he narrowed his vision on Skye. He spoke threateningly, ”Get. Out. Of. My. Head…” He did take a step towards her now and she was within reaching distance. ”It is rude and dangerous to go places you do not have permission to go. Do you understand?”

Hopefully the message had been received.

A moment later, the pink-haired Chaser was in his face, enraged and yelling. Viktor remained calm in the face of her accusations and cursing. He could have easily responded that The Darkness was upon them before she even had time to active her power. Her attempts to soften the sounds they made did not slip by him. Regardless of efforts, The Darkness was fully aware of their presence as soon as they had entered the village – even before Viktor had shouted. The Darkness was an intelligent and ancient creature, created by Oscura. A young apprentice’s effort to cover her tracks would not be enough to fool such a powerful entity. Nevertheless, Viktor allowed her to vent her emotions and storm off. He did not have to speak to her directly. He would sort out the matter back at The Academy.

Turning back to Skye, he raised his hand and a yellow flame enveloped it. He pointed at Skye’s injured wing and the fire moved towards her. While it may have been a terrifying sight, the fire would not burn. Instead, it would spread all over her wing and would accelerate her normal healing factor exponentially. Within seconds, her wing would be fully healed.

”I apologize for my outburst earlier. My name is Viktor Angelus.”

"well viktor, I wish we could have met under better circumstances but i am glad you were here to assist us in this fight, i am not sure i could have taken that big guy down" he said kindly " thanks for that" he said reaching out his hand for a handshake.

[Skye Jones]

I was still searching for more information when suddenly Viktor's gaze met mine. "Get. Out. Of. My. Head." He said coldly. Instantly my soft gaze hardened and I said back equally as coldly. "I'm sorry, I was assessing any possible threats. Maybe you should mind your own business and leave people alone!" My voice continued to get louder till I was yelling at him. A flame suddenly enveloped his hand and began moving towards me. Instantly I used my telekinesis to create a sheild and push away the fire. "I don't want any help.I'm leaving." I said quieting down. I hold his gaze for a moment longer before turning and begining to walk away. "Apology not accepted." I walk through the rows of houses and stop in front of a random one. I try the doorknob and to my happiness, it was unlocked. Walking into the house I take in my surroundings. "Nice place" I mutter angrily. I walk around the house fuming, when suddenly I get the urge to hit something. I walk over to the wall and stare for a moment before hitting it as hard as I can and my fist goes straight through the wall and out into the night air. "Hmmph, not bad I guess." I sit down and put my head in my hands. 

This is stupid. Maybe I should look for Dami. Suddenly I feel a wetness on my forehead. "Wha?" I look down at my arm and see 3 long, deep scratches in my right arm. "Are you kidding me?" I look over the rest of my body assessing the damage. Besides the scratches on my arm, I have a small cut on my upper lip and a couple bruises on my back, along with more assorted scratches covering most of my body. I am such an idiot.How could I let myself get hurt like this? I'm losing my skill. My arm is bleeding badly and the blood starts dripping onto the dirt floor. I look around the place for something to stop the bleeding and spot the sheet on a bed. 

"This should work. Hope no one minds." I rip the sheet into strips and begin wrapping them tightly around my arm. I've lost far too much blood. Is the last thought that enters my mind before my vision gets hazy and I fall back onto the bed.

(I hope no one minds that I got badly injured, but Dami said it would look stupid if no one else had gotten hurt and in the rules it says that it can't be impossible for you to get hurt in a fight. So if we were surrounded by darkness, then it would make sense if we all got injured. I am not dead, I just blacked out from blood loss and will awaken soon. Please don't get mad at me. If you want me to change it just tell me.)

Edit: Viktor messaged me to remind me about the healing fire he sent towards me. I must have forgotten about it because I didn't mention it in my post. I fixed that and my offer still stands. If anybody doesn't like the fsct that my character blacked out please tell me and I'll change it.

Dami was still listening to everybody else even as she got further and further away. She kept her senses active as she moved through the village. Maybe the chaser guy missed a Darkness and she would have to deal with it. If that was the case then there was no way she was going to be caught off guard. So Dami had enhance all the sound about a hundred times. Of course this was only for her, but at least she could hear them and they wouldn't be able to tell. It seemed like their conversation was going nicely before Skye shouted something and nearly blew Dami's eardrum out. Dami stumbled and tried to catch herself on the house only to feel rockets of pain go off in her arm. She cried out and collapse to the ground again.

"How am I even a Chaser?" Dami mumble to herself. They were supposed to be this grand elite group of people chosen my Luz, but everytime she encountered the Darkness she ended up getting hurt. Dami leaned her back against the building and sighed. She reached up with her good arm and felt under her mask at the long scar left by her last encounter with the Darkness. Somebody else had saved her the last time too. The image of the brute she had just fought popped into her head. The Darkness had picked her brain and realized what her brother might have looked like if he had grown up, but of course he hadn't grown up. He had downed. Dami should have just punched the stupid monster. She would have saved herself a lot of grief. Maybe even a visit to a hospital.
