On rare occasion, people disappear without a trace and that seemed to be what happened to Laurent's half-sister Vashti. She'd simple disappeared and Laurent couldn't find a hint to where she could've gone, but this effected the assassin in no evident ways. He barely knew Vashti, making the blow light and nothing that made him feel blue. A smile was planted on Laurent's lips as he turned off the street and into the beautiful Rose Park. A slight breeze gave a small tug to his sandy blond hair, but Laurent paid no mind to it. A black, long sleeved shirt covered Laurent's arms in order to hide the various scars that traced across his skin. Being in a dangerous business often meant that scars were an inevitable flaw and even more for someone injury prone. A guitar was slung over Laurent's shoulder, which was a common to have during times of rest for Laurent. He strode down the stone walkways in his blue jeans, hazel eyes scanning the grassy green spaces and benches for a place to sit.
Every so often clouds blocked out the sun, making for moments of cold to shadow the park. The sound of children playing caught Laurent's attention for a moment, his gaze turning towards a crowd of kids playing on the play structure. The children appeared to be around the ages of 7 to 10 and would scream and laugh to their enjoyment. Laurent only stopped for a moment to watch before continuing down the stone path, the last thing he wanted was for these children to enjoy music and swarm him. With that, Laurent quickened his pace until he reached a quieter section of Rose Park that lacked citizens. There was no shame in Laurent's playing or singing, but rather he disliked larger crowds along with the disruptive loudness they often bring in tow. Laurent's hazel eyes landed on a tree that was in a patch of grass, it seemed like a perfect place for him to begin to play. Quickly, Laurent closed the distance between him and the small tree before sitting beneath the beautiful plant. He pulled the wooden guitar over his shoulder and into his cross-legged lap before getting into a comfortable position to play.
Strumming the pick against the strings, Laurent to adjust when needed until the instrument was playing a tune similar to Audience of One by Rise Against. Once it sounded perfect, Laurent continued playing and sang the lyrics that belonged to the song. His attention to the world around him began to fade, which made a chance for someone to sneak up behind them if they wished.
[ Lyric Video so I don't have to paste them all into the post and make it massive. Also for rough tune to the song. ]
