Aiko strolled down the Main Street of the small city. Today has been a fairly good day. She had gotten some summer shopping done and was now looking forward to enjoying the evening sunset. As she stopped on the top of a hill she looked over to the sky. The sun was barely kissing the buildings in the far away distance. It was a beautiful site. There were many shades of red, purple, and orange. It was at times like this that she wondered what freedom was. The sun was always so far away, shining brightly done on her, almost teasing her with how bright and important it was. She liked to compare herself to the moon more, it was always been rejected by people sleeping as its dim light was put upon the Earth. She was similar to the moon in that way, this is why she would always stay up during the nights and stare out her window wondering if somewhere out there someone else was watching the moon. Shaking her head, making her pink hair wave in the wind she let her mind slip off the topic and started to walk once again. Tonight was not meant to be a worry for her.

Making her way over to a bench which was soaking in the summer rays, she sat down on it, making her back burn just a little. Flinching she carefully leaned against it until she adjusted to the heat. Her pink eyes wandered around her surroundings, it was very empty, maybe one or two cars passing by, cats and birds chatting somewhere in the city. Other than that it was peaceful. She wished it could always be this way. Setting her stuff down she took in a deep breath and released it. She wondered who she would bump into this time, last time she had meet a new friend Skye-chan in the most unexpected place, a graveyard. This time she didn't know what to think, maybe making more than one friend in a day was too much to ask for. She should be more grateful, but how could she be when she lived in such a harsh environment. Now getting frustrated she put her hands on her head, messing up her hair a little before standing on her feet with a determined look. She would not waste this evening!

Sunset was arriving at Argi City, and the sky was a blaze of beautiful colours. Purples, oranges, reds, yellows and even some small hints of pink, making a wonderful sight. With a fedora atop his head, Scott began to walk down the sidewalks of the city. Once nightfall came it would be dangerous, but he could always take the time to fly home rather than walk. The only thing was, tonight was beautiful and taking a slow pace walk home sounded all the much more delightful. Scott smile while he walked down the sidewalks, taking his precious time.

The warmth of the setting sun still managed to reach out and warm him while he walked. On this night, the world was at peace, and other than the noises of the passing cars, there was silence. His dark brown eyes glanced at all the signs of Argi preparing for slumber and found himself pleased. The lack of crowds around sunset always made him more comfortable on the streets. During days when it was crowded, Scott always felt like he was getting a great amount of glances from strangers, but sunset was generous time that gave him a moment away from it all.

He had walked quite a while when his eyes saw a frustrated young girl, but his mind just kept going about his day.

Aiko pink eyes looked up with curiosity, stopping as they reached a boy who looked about her age. She blinked a few times the wind once again blowing her hair in the breeze and she just stared at him for a few moments. He seemed some what mysterious. The way his black hair was still in his face despite the hat he was wearing. Her past frustrations had pasted her now as she looked at his dark eyes. Everything about him was so dark. He seemed to be lost in his own world though. She had been there not too long ago, thinking about how her day had been and how she had done barely anything. 

She turned her attention once again towards the sky which was now covered by nightfall and she watched as the first stars began to appear. It was a lovely sight, to see day turn to night, something she normally only watched from her dorm. Without even noticing it she said to no one in particular, "It surely is magical isn't it?" She then turned back to the boy, her smile small and calm. She started again in her controlled voice, "Watching the sunset welcome night." As her eyes gazed up stars could be seen reflecting in her pink eyes. She had no idea why she had said those words towards him, she just felt they needed to be shared.

After a few moments had passed of silence she finally realized what she had just said to a random stranger. Feeling a bit shocked at herself, she said keeping her voice quiet, "I'm sorry for saying that so sudden!" She quickly bowed her head feeling guiltily and embarrassed. Why did you have to say that Aiko?! She scolded herself in her mind, finally telling herself it was useless to try to control her gentle side, she felt like it had been coming out more often. As much as she wanted to stuff it back inside pf her she still would allow it at times.

Stars were beginning to appear in the darkened sky. Seeing stars in the city was often rare, since the massive amount of light that was produced from cities often caused them to fade into the night sky if looking upon them from Earth. Scott had always liked the lore behind constellations, and the stars' beauty on a clear night was magnificent. He felt like he had finally gotten away from the crowds that were ever so common in Argi.

Then a there was a voice. Scott glanced at the pink haired girl who was commenting on the beauty of the sunset that still faded. "Indeed, it is," Scott said. He wasn't bothered by the stranger's input about the sunset, mostly because it brought forth more elements to the sunset. Scott spared a sideways glance to see her smiling, then to see that face twist into one of embarrassment. Scott listened to her apology, but found there was no need for one. "There is no need to apologize. If I were to guess, you were simply mesmerized by the beauty," Scott said calmly. His gaze drifted back to the sunset, to one again admire its' beauty.

Aiko was surprised to hear that he hadn't be weirded out by her random comment. He had actually agreed to her surprise. Once again she was feeling confused, it was hard to read him, but it seem like he was a pretty calm guy. Letting out a small sigh of relief she looked back up to the night sky, her eyes softened as she saw the familiar features of the moon. Tonight it was huge and shinning almost as bright as the sun. A full moon. She opened her mouth a little in awe as a smile was brought onto her face. It was so mysterious, so it was on nights like these where she could spend the whole time just watching the moon. Some people called her weird, but she considered it more of an interest, she was trying to figure out each and every corner of the moon. She than remembered that she was not alone. Quickly she glanced over at him to see he was too looking up at the sky. She flashed him a quick, kind smile before returning to the scenery in front of them.

It seemed that he could understand things pretty easily. Was she really that easy to read? And was she memorized by the beauty. Most likely, she did state up at the sky quite often. Aiko felt a little less embarrassed, but still rubbed the back of her neck. She had assumed that he would see her as weird at once, but now that that was not the case she decided to lighten the mood. She laughed a little in a soft way before she turned to him saying, "Sorry! I guess I'm just admiring it." She had just said sorry again after he had just told her it wasn't needed. Sometimes her mouth would just speak without thinking. She indeed could be a awkward person. She face palmed her head, trying to hide the embarrassment which had come back, she really was a mess.

Now that she thought about it, wasn't it almost weird to be talking a a random person without even knowing there name. Her gaze swept over him for a moment before she said quietly and almost unheard, "Aiko..." It was strange to be saying only her first name so once she took a deep breath she started again, "I'm Aiko Matsui." She had never been good at introducing herself, normally the other person did so first. That's the way she preferred it, but she could step up and get over herself. She didn't know why but her heart was pounding quick, maybe in the end she really was too shy or too new to friendship to make new friends

They continued walking down main street. Scott's eyes were focused on the sky above. His eyes scanning the darkened sky with a slight smile upon his face. His side glance sometimes checked on the pink haired girl walking beside him, and noticed her smile. The girl didn't seem like she wanted to go elsewhere, which didn't bother him one bit. While Scott's dark eyes were looking up at the sky, the girl laughed and apologized once more.

Although apologizing could get a little bit annoying, Scott decided it was best not to say he didn't mind again. He concluded that the girl, perhaps, had a habit for repeatedly apologizing to someone. With his slight smile he continued looking up at the sky, until he heard a slight, inaudible voice. It had come from the girl, which caused him to turn his head in reaction. Before he could ask her to repeat herself, she introduced herself as Aiko Matsui. In a flash, his introducing etiquette took over. "A pleasure to meet you, Aiko. I am Scott Hettire." He introduced himself with the same polite manner he would anyone else. Scott was still a little bit shy, but around a singular person, the effects didn't bother him nearly as much.

The slight chill in the air caused him to close his sweater around him, zipping up the gray sweater speedily.
