It was a warm spring afternoon in the port of Argi City. The sun shone brightly as clouds drifted lazily overhead. Sparrow was known to often seek high places when finding a place to be alone, but there was a different reason for him being on the shipping crates today. Today was the day he would learn a little bit more about a Chaser his new friend Nicki had mentioned. Often bested by curiosity, Sparrow played various scenarios out in his head as he absentmindedly spun his knives in the air, twirling them gently with his threads.
With a sigh, Sparrow caught all three daggers and shrugged, "Only one way to determine the path we shall tread..." he said as he pulled out his phone. Out of most of the people in the city, Sparrow was one of the few to still use a flip phone. He enjoyed it's clicking sound as it closed, and sometimes aided in helping him concentrate, otherwise, it seemed more energy-efficient when compared to the electron-guzzling smart phones these days. Plus, he always found himself remembering phone numbers easier when he actually typed them in, rather than just relying on his contacts. Alas, the Wrightworth scion was getting sidetracked and came back to focusing on his current plan.
With a quick flip and a clicking of keys, Sparrow texted his friend Chassius about the examination. The inter-dimensional trickster replied quickly, saying he would be on his way shortly, after taking care of some business. After his childhood friend of 10 years, he messaged his more recent friend Nicki about the plot; "Exam can commence in shipping yard in thirty minutes. All clear. Please bring him and act as if you do not know me". Sparrow closed his phone with a satisfied sigh and looked out onto the shipping yard. From where he sat on the hard iron crates, he could see the area had been cleared out. No workers to be concerned for, no criminals to be distracted by...
A gentle breeze blew through the snow-white hair of the young man. His red eyes sparked with a desire to learn more about this interesting character, and the boy gave a small smile as he retreated into a blind spot. In the middle of the afternoon, it would be no difficult feat to see an albino teenager on top of a shipping crate. It was for this inconvenience to stealth that Sparrow wore a black hoodie over his normal sweater-vest, buttoned shirt and tie. With his hood over his head, his face was harder to make out. A shadow went across his eyes, but Sparrow knew that his red eyes would not pale in the darkness. Instead, he achieved a sort of menacing look, which was deeply desired for this occasion.
With a small smile, Sparrow held a mirror over his shoulder, waiting to see Nicolette and her friend enter the shipping yard. I wonder how and what he'll do, he thought to himself...
