The First Day [OPEN]

Kristina had waited for Kujo to pick a place but since she didn't seem to know and has asked, "Not really, I suppose it just depends on what you are interested in." She answered, finding the library and gym the only two places she really cared to be. When Kujo was walking beside her, it was weird, but only for a second because she had been walking behind her before. "Is everything okay?" She asked, looking to see Kujo adjusting the shirt buttons and tie, she had seen those girls and heard them whispering. She wasn't sure if it was because of Kujo or because of her, what started as liking Isidore and Fritz had strangely turned into a line of guys. It wouldn't surprise her if they had been talking about her, but deep down she hoped it had been on Kujo. "Don't mind them..." She answered as if trying to comfort as to lead Kujo away from them. "So these are more classrooms." She started, making sure they weren't standing in the way just in case it opened.

It had and two males had walked out. "Oh Kris, looks like your line just gets longer and longer." They laughed and slowly started walking away. "Not long enough." She created a water ball and threw it at the back of his head. Was she trying to pick a fight, maybe.... He had turned around and just smiled over at him. Boy does he burn me up.... and yet she got water as an element instead of fire. "We'll find him Kris...." They started walking away. Over my dead body. "You go ahead and try." I have foresight, I will get there first. "Don't use me as bait for your little games ever again." I'll kick your butt myself next time. That comment had got him interested. "Using you in bait to capture a prisoner, now where would you get an idea like that? I thought we were a team Kris, a team." Another water ball was forming in her hand again, "Get out of here...." Oh yes, picking a fight after all.

"What are you going to do throw the water ball at me?" He asked and laughed, He is right I'm being way to nice. She closed her fist so that the water ball wasn't anymore and pulled out a dagger that was hiding under her clothes. "Better? Where would you like me to throw it? Give me the word...." That got him to shut up and turn on his heel with his best buddy. I didn't think so.... She turned to look towards Kujo. "Sorry, those guys really burn me up sometimes...." She hide the dagger back under her shirt and started walking. "They put a bounty on a friend who is like a brother to me." She finished, "As for the line, I only have one person I like and the rest are just friends." By the one person she meant Fritz. Maybe those girls had been giggling over Kujo after all, but they know of my line so I wouldn't be surprised if it was directed at the both of us.

When Kujo thought that maybe the reason she adjusted her shirt was because she wanted to look better for them, but she shrugged it off and kept walking. After all, if you are the new student it's natural to attract some attention from the others. She smiled at Kris when she told her to ignore them; it didn't annoy her but she didn't mind them either. Just then a weird thought crossed her mind: maybe they thought that either Kris or Kujo was trying to seduce the other... it was weird. She shook her head to dismiss that train of thought. Kujo walked with Kris to the entrance of the classrooms, not particularly excited to see them.

When Kris threw the water ball to the male, it startled Kujo, the prospect of a fight on the first day wasn't the thing she had on her mind. Besides, they were there to fight Darkness, not against each other. But she took it as a game between them and stepped back just in case. As the "conversation" developed, Kujo's eyes narrowed more and more and when he turned around Kujo generated her shotguns in her hands that were behind her waist, their tips showing on her sides. This didn't look like a game between friends.

And when Kris pulled out the dagger, Kujo got startled and stepped back, this time aiming her two shotguns at the uninvited guest. She didn't say a word and kept the finger on the trigger. In the end, he left and Kujo sighed as she vanished her shotguns at the same time Kris hid her dagger. Great, first day and I probably gained some enemies just now The smile Kujo had disappeared from her face and she adopted a neutral expression, and Kris' apologies kind of made it return, but there was something missing from it. The following explanation made enough sense for Kujo to make a comment about it.

"That's unfortunate" Kujo wanted to tell her she was there to help, but decided to wait until the atmosphere turned a little brighter.

When Kris mentioned her line, Kujo couldn't help but laugh at the coincidence. Maybe her past train of thought wasn't so impossible after all, but then considered Kris' situation. She already has some people interested in her, and if Kujo had the looks of a guy then it would just affect both their reputations. But still, Kujo already trusted Kris enoughly to call her a friend, and she asked for her opinion. After supressing her laughter.

"But I can be your friend right? I don't really think you consider me part of your group" she asked with the smile now back on her face.

Kristina gave a sad smile, "Yes, it is." She answered her , unsure on how much information she really wanted to give her at this present time. Though changing the subject to her line seemed to brighten up her mood, maybe it was because she got Kujo to laugh though. Kujo's question had caught her off guard, but she answered it. "I'd live to be friends with you Kujo." She still had plenty of time to warm up to her but right now she needed all the friends she could get. "Well I consider you my friend." She added, letting Kujo decide for herself if she really wanted to be friends or not. "As for those boys, they give me trouble all the time. Saying I'm not always helpful." She shrugged her shoulders, "They are right though, I have a line and I won't cross it just for them. They always miss judged my friend and when I joined everybody knew where I stood on the subject. Then the bounty changed for the worse and they fear I'll be in the way more than helping." She finished looking at Kujo she added, "I won't help them kill him."

Now that she had that out in the open, she felt somewhat more relaxed, maybe it was because she felt like she could trust Kujo. She pulled out her phone to check the time. "We better head back, I don't want to make you late for class." She lead the way down the halls, still running into plenty of Chasers who thought Kujo was attractive and that Kristina's line just got longer. As they moved around people who were blocking she opted in the end to look at the bright side, so far Fritz hadn't become upset over her line or atll least he never made a scene to her about it. She stopped in front of the classroom that she believed was Kujo, it was her next class as well. I can't let her go in alone... Not when we agreed to be friends. She held the door open and walked inside, waiting for Kujo to pick a seat so that she could take the one right next to her.

Hearing Kris' answers to her question brightened up Kujo's mood a lot, she loved earning new friends, and since she was in a new place, friends were a very important part of the situation right now. Then she thought about the guys from before. If she had a friend, Kujo could face every enemy in the world without a hint of fear; that's the strength of someone's affection. Yet, Kujo would wait for Kris to open up to her and vice versa, even though Kujo doesn't have too much to hide but her father's situation. And that wasn't much of a faux pass for Kujo.

She listened carefully and tried to understand more of Kris' explanation. Then thought that she was probably living a movie of some sort because her situation was kind of messed up. If she was in Kris' place, then Kujo would've probably took them out of the way for her friend's and her own safety. She bit her lower lip when Kris finished, thinking that she would try to help her in that matter. But it was only Kris' decision, Kujo couldn't force herself into the problem or else she'll gain trouble and probably Kristina's disappointment.

At least changing the subject to classtime erased the bad atmosphere, and it made Kujo groan in annoyance. She was trying to make the impression of a sociable person yet she was being a slacker since the morning. So she followed Kris through the corridors responding to the giggling girls' salutes as she walked, unaware of the situation she was getting herself into. She was kind of a knucklehead in that aspect in particular. Kujo would've kept walking and pass completely of the classroom unless Kristina stopped and opened the door. She smiled as she entered, happy to be together in the same class again.

Kujo looked around the room to locate the tallest person and she sat in the place behind, so that if she could sleep she could do it without trouble. Setting her schoolbag on the floor, she stretched her arms and slumped on her desk, all the while unaware that Kris picked the desk next to hers.

Kristina didn't have a happy life, well it got better when she got sent into a foster home but got worse shortly after that. If she told you that her life was crappy, one would be sure to not believe her until they were around her all the time to come to realize it was horrible. Not something she wanted to drag Kujo into, but then again she didn't want to drag any of her friends into it, just Fang was impossible to say no to and so is Dream, those two meant quite the pair. It was easy for her to tell Max her problems but in the end this would be a fight that she would handle alone. Though with Kujo joining the school she would have to find another way to keep what ever Oscuro and Fang had planned from getting the students.

"Sorry, I got to many problems." She explained, seeing Kujo bite her lower lip, almost reminded her of wanting more assistance, but she couldn't drag her into this. With the subject changed she found herself being happy again. Mostly because it wasn't her problems they were talking about anymore but class and how if they didn't hurry they might be late. She followed Kujo into the classroom and took a seat next to her, planning on paying close attention to the teacher as they spoke. This has been a really long day.... She found herself looking towards Kujo every so often.

The teacher finished speaking and they had the rest of the class session to work on their homework. She finished a few minutes after starting, already knowing the answers because she had read up on it already. Then after a few minutes it would seem as if she had zoned out, she was seeing the future. When the vision came to a close she rubbed her eyes as if she had been sleeping with her eyes open. Darn them.... can't they ever just leave me alone? Now I need to figure out when I can expect them to walk right on in. The class finished and the door opened. Speak of the devil.

She stood up from her seat, clearly not caring to mess around with those same boys from before. "Kristina." The boy from earlier had called out to her. She turned to look towards him. "I see your attending your classes for once. That is right, I know of your ditching habit from your older school." He paused and she found herself frowning at him. Why exactly is that your business? "I suppose since your brothers are gone, you finally got the motive to show up. Oh dear did I hit a nerve?" He was mocking her, she didn't take kindly to being mocked.

"If you know my habits, oh so well. You would do well not to mock me." She answered him back, trying to not lose her nerve. "Kujo, would you like to walk with me?" She asked, ignoring the guy. "Oh, another guy for your line." He called over to her, moving closer. He was within reach so she grabbed his wrist, pulled him towards her before pinning it behind his back. "I told you, you would do well not to mock me." She kept the pressure there for a few minutes before letting go. "I don't have time for you to waste." She stated, looking towards the teacher who must have thought she was just as bad as Dream.

She threw her backpack over her shoulder, if Kujo chose to follow they both would likely have to walk fast, Kristina knew she was going to get followed, ditching the rest of her classes would have to become an option, it didn't mean Kujo had to join her, but now that they were in this together it seemed only fitting to invite anyway though she wouldn't have Kujo risk getting detention just for her. Kristina left the classroom, unsure on if Kujo had followed or not, but she did know those guys were following her because she could hear them.

[It seemed kind of fun to try and drag Kujo into her mess, I hope that was okay, else I can change it.]

[Ohh that's interesting. Some action as my welcome. BTW: Are we running or just walking quickly?]

Kujo found herself dreaming about nothing special. Just some weird interpretation of her own reality, about the same world but in a fantasy setting. It was fun, but just when she was about to get killed by someone she woke up startled. Then, she realized it was just a dream and saw that the class was working on something she had no idea what it was, so instead of working she stared at the window, gazing to nowhere in specific while Kris had her vision. Of course, Kujo was in her own world and didn't notice it. When the door opened, she snapped out of her thoughts and looked at the same guy from before, knowing that things would get ugly.

She frowned more and more, Kujo couldn't tolerate seeing a friend being treated in such a way. Kujo now kind of knew Kris' weak spot, but of course she didn't plan to ever use it against her, seeing how she seemed to be when they annoy her. When Kris asked her if she wanted to leave, Kujo adjusted her schoolbag a bit tighter so running with it wouldn't be so uncomfortable and stood up. When the boy mocked about her gender, she exploded on the inside.
After Kris held the guy on the floor, Kujo summoned her machine gun and aimed to the rest of the people inside the room, she had no means to hurt them, just make them retreat for their own safety. With the schoolbag on her shoulders, she walked to Kris' side.

"Everyone get out. Now" they grabbed their own things and left quietly, even the teacher who changed his expression from annoyance caused by Kris to one of fear.

Kris relased the guy's wrist, and Kujo slowly walked to the door behind Kris with her machine gun, which she transformed into her shotguns once they left the classroom. As she moved, Kujo felt the need to shoot them and get this over with, but they were Chasers and she would end up as a criminal instead of a vigilante. Her fox grin disappeared to be replaced by a serious expression, with a final thought With friends like these who needs enemies?

Her little sister will certainly be amused after Kujo told her about her first day at the Chasers' Academy.

Kristina hadn't meant to drag Kujo into this, but she had felt a need to bring her alone over leaving her behind in that class room. She had been walking fast but the door had opened and she found herself running instead. "This way." She answered as she lead her around the class room. "You won't get away Kristina, I know that you are hiding his location and we will get it from you." He shouted as he tried keeping pace with her. I should have thrown a knife at him when I had the chance. The problem with Kristina is that she knew when she needed to get into a fight and it seemed as if this would be one of those times. She turned, creating a water ball in her hand she threw it, aiming for his feet in attempt to make him trip. It worked because when he stopped his buddies ran into him and they fall on him.

"I'm sorry for dragging you in this Kujo." She explained, leading the way once more, first they would head outside. Sooner or later those hot heads would leave her alone, they mostly enjoyed picking a fight with her. As of currently they didn't have anything on her else they would have brought it to her attention by now. "They just like picking fights with me. Mentioning my family isn't a bright idea on their part though." She finished, hating her parents, and aunt, missing her brothers. She swallowed as she opened another door that lead outside. "Well now that we are outside I have a little more freedom out here, it would be pretty foolish of them to join me out here by this point." She had stopped running just to wait and see if they would come on out.

The one boy had, followed by his two friends. "Following me out here, that really wasn't the brightest of moves." She answered, pulling the sword from her belt off. "Powers or no powers?" She asked, finding herself in most cases agreeing to the terms, even in the end the other chooses to cheat. Why? Because she believed herself to be a fair fighter and in the end it would count towards self defense on her part. "You couldn't take me on even without your powers." He answered her back. Ah, so he doesn't know of my past.... She found herself smiling at him. "I suppose you don't want powers used then?" She asked, waiting for him to reply. "I never said that." He answered her back and she braced herself just in case he chose to use it on them.

[They were walking fast but it did turn into a run.]

Kujo vanished her shotguns to run easier through the corridors and to not attract too much attention. She actually began wondering if it was worth it to gain detention and probably the group of guys' contempt just for trying to help Kris at least a bit with her messy life. The answer was pretty obvious. But the consequences of her acts included having to live with the danger of being harassed if they are desperate to find her or having to take care of her sister like never before in case they use her as trade coin. But she hoped that those days never came. If she could just kill them...
When they were outside, Kujo hurried her words to try to comfort Kris, so at least the situation won't weigh on her mind anymore.

"Don't worry, you didn't drag me into this. I dragged myself in"

Probably there were better ways of saying it, but that was all Kujo could think about. Just when she thought they were finally safe, the people Kujo now considered her enemies followed them, and she summoned her assault rifle almost instantly. While the conversation developed, Kujo wished so much that if they were going to fight, be it with powers, since she doesn't have any other way to defend herself. Truth is, Kujo never thought about using her power to fight other people, she thought that there was no reason... until now.

"Oh, and by the way, I'm a girl... nice to meet you" she said aiming to the boy's thigh in case he does anything funny.

Kristina heard Kujo's words but she still felt bad, it was her fault that Kujo was in this mess after all. They wouldn't have this problem if I had just closed myself off like I had when I first moved here. She waited for them to come out and talked with the one who claimed to be in charge. It was bad enough one had to get into a fight, she wasn't about to kill them, she had so much trouble on her plate right now that murder would make mattes so much worse. Kujo told them that she was a girl and Kristina found herself smiling, she had known that, but to have her admit it, just made her feel like she had won something. Now the guys, they hadn't known that and she found herself just smiling at them. "If your a girl, you shouldn't get involved in her crap...." He called over to her, seeing the gun was pointed towards his thigh, it made him feel uneasy. "Are you really going to let her fight with you on this battle Kristina? Normally you like fighting alone, this is so unlike you."

Kristina had to think on that question, she even glanced back to look towards Kujo before looking back towards the three of them. "You should know by now that those who have my back, have me to back them up too." She paused, "Are you really wanting to start this fight with me now, over a little disagreement?" She asked, raising a hand in the air she brushed her hair behind her ear. They really shouldn't have disrespected my family, but they have one final chance. It seemed as if her words were getting through to the other two because they had backed up. "Hold your ground, she is just a girl." He told them, but the other two had chose to flee back inside to fight another day anyway. "Looks like your backup has just left. I'll give you one last chance before you get stuck saying mercy." She warned, taking a step towards him.

The problem with her is that she knew one had to take some hits to give some hits, it was just a matter of being the last one standing. She watched him grit his teeth, "If you couldn't waterboard so easily with your combat skills, I'd have no problem taking your challenge. But be warned this isn't over Kristina. You won't have your friends forever and when you don't that is when I'll show up." He took a few steps back and fled back inside. Am I turning into a monster? I didn't even fight him and he fled before me just because he knew of my combat skills and what I could use my water element on him. The comment made her somewhat sore but she put her sword back on her belt anyway.

"Every since my friend got that bounty on his head, many of the teachers opted to not get involved with giving detention slips out. So unless somebody dies they would over look it, seeing as it would be better to have us fighting Darkness over losing us over a stupid fight." She explained, looking towards Kujo, she felt like she had some explaining to do. "I don't think they will bother you over fighting with me." She stated, as if to clear up any unwanted worries. "Though now that they know I see you as a friend, I can see them bothering you to get my attention. You see, when my brothers were alive, I got into many fights over the young one getting picked on all the time." She paused, wanting that to sink in before she continued.

"Even though my brothers aren't around anymore, I've taken it upon myself to deal with the bullies and stuff." And because I'm smart like my younger brother they sometimes would try and pick a fight with me to get me to help do their homework, that didn't go so well for them though. "Anyways, with my friend having the bounty on his head, because they've always feared him for reasons, they thought it would be fun to target his family and I happen to be close to family for him. Since they can't force me to join them, they have found other ways to try and make my life a living hell." She closed her eyes for a few seconds, "You don't have to worry about me though, I got everything under control." Once he finds out Max is alive, this should all be thrown past us.

[Kujo Hiragi]

Kujo heard that Kris seemed to like fixing her problems alone and she felt sympathy with her. Kujo also likes to do things alone, and she kind of smiled even though it couldn't be seen because she was aiming to the guy's thigh, with the gun almost sticked to her face. Kujo really wanted to help Kris, thing is that having someone solving problems you want to face alone is annoying. And she knew that by experience.

Fortunately, the disagreement seemed to come to an end and Kujo supressed a sigh of relief. Even though she'll get a bit annoyed in the future days, she gained a friend. That's all that matters. As the rest of the boy's group returned to the building, Kujo rested her rifle on her shoulder, happy that finally the long day seemed to be over. Then he followed his comrades and Kujo looked over at Kris. She smiled and walked next to her, hearing her rambles, responding when she had an opportunity.

"Don't worry. I can defend myself, so don't worry if you hear I do this or that to any of them in self defense" To tell the truth, she is kind of looking forward to seeing them again.

And Kujo kept listening until Kris seemed to finish, taking advantage of when she closed her eyes to semi hug her, wrapping her left arm around her and holding her gun against her right shoulder. She looked to Kris to the eyes and smiled as best as she could.

"Hey, I won't always be there when you feel like the world's against you. But count on me if you ever need anything. I know some good places to hide corpses" she accompanied this last sentence with a wink.

Well, not really. She just wanted to tell her that she was there whenever Kris needed her. Kujo let go of Kris and walked to the door, opening it with her free hand. Then Kujo unsummoned her rifle and turned back to Kris. What a long day.

Kristina nodded her head to Kujo, but it still made her weary that another person had put themselves at risk just for her. Her eyes were closed and she felt Kujo hug her, she listened to Kujo speak and just nodded her head to her. When Kujo let go, she found herself smiling at her. Though she wouldn't be hiding any time soon, it was nice to know that Kujo was thinking about her safety anyway. Kujo walked back to the building and opened the door, Kristina walked back towards her and followed her inside. "You should know, I don't plan on doing more than what needs to be done with them. If at all possible I would only harm, not kill, in a matter of speaking." She explained, "He talked about the waterboard, it's more of a torture method to get them to give up faster."

Only my aunt, she was the only one that was killed. Well my parents were killed too, but they were dangerous people. These Chasers are just mistaken and need somebody to take charge that know exactly what needs to be done. I'm not in danger, they just want to push my buttons is all. "So if you come across them, feel free to shot them, but I don't suggest death if you can avoid it." She finished, knowing there were plenty of places to shot, lucky for Kujo she didn't have proper aim so if she had to shot for self defense, it could be proven that she didn't have good aim and would have been on accident, not purpose.

Kristina grabbed the door, allowing Kujo to walk in first, seeing as that is how she had happen this whole time before following her back inside of the building. "I'm sorry for making you late to your next class. Did you still want to attend the last one?" She asked, more than willing to go into the class room to collect their homework before showing Kujo to her last class, unless Kujo lost interest in being in school right this second.

Kujo slipped her hands inside her pockets and began walking, listening to Kris while looking around. Kujo admired Kris' patience. If it was for her, those guys would've already ended up in the hospital, or somewhere worse. She blinked her eyes in realization that she had been wishing people's death probably way too much on a single day. Kujo thought it was part of just growing older, but didn't think it was unnatural. After all, the same thought repeated in her head everytime she remembered the events of the day. If only they could just disappear.

She closed her eyes for a moment and sighed internally after Kris kind of gave her permission to defend herself. Maybe Kujo could supress her rage if she thought about her friend, but if they started annoying her then she doesn't know how much time she will be able to resist. At least the change of topic helped Kujo think about something else for a moment after entering the building. She groaned and then replied.

"I guess. I don't want to give bad impressions on my first day. Heh, kind of ironic considering I've been sleeping in every single class"

Kujo was a slacker, but she slacked in the places she had to be present. The thought made her chuckle.

Kristina listened as Kujo spoke about her first day, "Well if it works easier for you, we can just collect your homework and just have you start over tomorrow." She suggested, as if Kujo needed the extra time to try and relax after all the stuff that had just taken place earlier. Since Kujo hadn't talked about earlier, she opted to not talk about it either, though it was still running through her mind anyway. She didn't need any charges on her plate just because some stupid moron opted to pick a fight with her, they were supposed to be on the same team after all. So for them to pick a fight with her just because she refused to help them find Dream, it was a bit nerve wreaking. Though she pulled from her thoughts just to smile over at Kujo anyway.

She had very few friends, most of them were surprisingly male. So for Kujo to become a friend, it had been a while since she had any female friends besides Candy, Dream's older cousin. It was weird but felt nice at the same time, seeing as Candy found herself busy so Kristina couldn't spend very much time with her anymore. Somebody had to keep the others in line when it came to that darn bounty that never should have been placed on Dream's head to begin with. "I only suggest it because you did say you have been sleeping in your classes and all motivation to go to class has left me." Again. Wow the last time I stopped caring about going to school was when my brothers died.

[Kujo Hiragi]

Kujo's first impression of Kris included that she was all about work and seriousness, but her comment kind of made Kujo rethink that part of her opinion. But she wouldn't make any bad comments about it. Motivation and energy left her body some minutes ago, not physical, because she could still do some things; she just lost the will to think about anything for the rest of the day. Besides, she had a good idea that could explain why she left if someone asks.

"Well, little sis' is coming out of school in some minutes, and I promised to take her home"

That seemed logical enough. Spending some quality time with her little sister Yuriko could help Kujo relax a little, if her mother gave her some money to take her her to a movie or something. Kujo thought about getting a part time job, and she decided that she would get one in a couple of days. She also thought about using the money to treat Kris to a restaurant to eat, to help her escape her problems for a while. Kujo would ask her after she gets her first payday.
Kujo's friends list isn't very wide, just some old friends from junior high school, her sister and mother's friends and... that's it. Kris' explanation made Kujo smile, at least she wasn't the only one who wanted to skip class.

"Heh, same here. So, let's go" she positioned herself on Kris' side and adopted her typical stance, hands in her pockets.

Kristina nodded her head when Kujo said that she had to go get her little sister from school. Then Kujo said that she felt the same about school and walked next to her. "Do you care if we grab the homework tomorrow? I really don't care to do it right this second...." It sounded like Kujo was all for leaving to do something else. She had a few hours to spare before having a great need to be back home to take care of some stuff, so she didn't see the harm in going out with Kujo even if it was for a little while. "So how old is your sister?" She asked, coming to realize she didn't exactly know how old Kujo was either.

If she had known that Kujo was twenty she would be surprised to see her still taking some classes. Though that was her business not hers. "I'm only seventeen, that is my reason for asking." If she is taking some of my classes she must be older than me... She couldn't remember what grade she was currently working on, flipping between high school and college work was hard. Though she somehow managed to get the over load of work done anyway, all it took was some extra studying.

She wanted to get some college out of the way so that she didn't have to worry about doing it in the near future. Finding she would be to busy handling Darkness to get any degrees. She walked down the halls with Kujo, planning on walking out the front, seeing as she didn't have a desire to stick around here any longer than needs be. It didn't bother her one bit that she was still carrying her backpack around, mostly because she had her charger in it at all times so that if her phone was dying she would be able to charge it right back up. "Where'd you want to go?"
