It always seems to change in color though never in style. He will add various colored tints to his hair on a whim, but will always style it swept to the right side, hiding his eye, and brushing back the left side. eyes oo Sky blue with lavender hues height & weight oo Five foot ten inches and one hundred forty two pounds overall looks oo Snow white hair, kept in a fashionable mess and bright bluish-lavendarish eyes. A fairly tall, and lean body that has athletic strength & dexterity hidden in it. He enjoys playing instruments which have caused callouses on his fingers and his arms to be the most toned part of his body, though he has muscle definition elsewhere. Jayden dresses in whatever is comfortable but fashionable about one hundred percent of the time. He is a big fan of hats and will wear a variety of them in a range of colors. His fashion sense would probably be considered punk or rock, though he isn't committed to one type of style and hates labels. He has a star outline tattoo on his right wrist, and a filled in star tattoo on his left wrist. On the inside of his index fingers it says Forever Young so that if he makes a heart with them you could read it that way. His left ear is pierced in four places and his right one is pierced in two, and he has his tongue pierced. His secondary mode is internal, where he deals with things rationally and logically. This causes him to be a bit predictable in his ways, and quite direct with others that may cross his path, or situations that may arise. He is overall a(n) practical, observant, fun-loving, spontaneous risk-taker with an excellent ability to quickly improvise an innovative solution to a problem. Jay is enthusiastic and fun to be with, and can be a great motivator. As mentioned, Jayden is the outgoing, straight-shooting type. Enthusiastic and excitable, he is a "doer" who lives in the world of action. Blunt, honest, risk-taking - he is willing to plunge right into things and get his hands dirty without second guessing it. He lives in the here-and-now, and places little importance on introspection or theory. He looks at the facts of a situation, quickly decides what should be done, executes the action, and moves on to the next thing. This also contributes to his short attention span, and his ability to bore quite easily and quickly. He, being quite the social creature, loves people, excitement, telling stories and having fun. He can be spontaneous, and impulsive in nature which proves to almost always be entertaining. And entertaining is something that loves. Social gatherings are an energy boost to this "people" person. He is more likely to be around others, than by himself just for the sake of not being alone. Jay has the uncanny ability to perceive people's attitudes and motivations. He is able to pick up on little cues which go completely unnoticed by most others; such as facial expressions and stance. He is typically thinking a couple of steps ahead of the person he is interacting with. Jayden often uses this ability to get what he wants out of a situation, but does his best to contain himself. Rules and laws are seen as simply guidelines for behavior, rather than mandates. If the teen has decided that something needs to be done, then his "do it and get on with it" attitude takes precedence over the rules. However, he does have his own strong belief in what's right and what's wrong, and will doggedly stick to his principles. Don’t be fooled, per contrast, the “rules of the establishment” may hold little value to Jayden, but his own integrity mandates that he will not under any circumstances do something in which he feels to be wrong. Jay has a strong flair for drama and style. He is fast-moving, fast-talking and retains an appreciation for the finer things in life. He typically makes things up as he goes along, rather than following a plan. He loves to have fun, and is a lively person to be around. He can sometimes be hurtful to others without being aware of it, as he generally does not know and may not necessarily care about the effect his words might have on others. It isn’t that he doesn't care about people, it's more that his decision-making process does not involve taking people's feelings into account. He makes decisions based on facts and logic. Jayden sometimes thinks and talks in more of a spider-web approach. He will jump from thought to thought in mid-sentence, touching here or there in a manner that's almost incoherent to the listener, but will eventually cover the waterfront by skipping on impulse from one piece of information to another. It's really quite fascinating and confusing all at the same time. Due to this it should be no surprise that Jay is attracted to new! New ideas, new fashions, new gadgets, new whatever. He relishes in the world of people and possibilities. He loves new people and new experiences, zestfully embracing the excitement and drama in his life. If Jayden becomes bored enough he may even instigate some drama simply to procure elation and commotion that would prove as entertainment to him. Not at all complex, though he is a man who enjoys finer things, Jay really leads a simple life that can become a walking contradiction being predictable and spontaneous all at once. Jay isn’t all glitz, glam and socializing though. He is quite down to earth, and is able to be calm as well. On a deeper level he is also quite loyal and caring toward those he deems fit to be within is inner circle. He can evoke and increase fear and horror in others causing the target’s brain to release fear-inducing chemicals. The victim’s perception may be altered, causing them see their environment as ominous and Jayden as dark and foreboding, or even see him as a monster. While Jayden can make their biggest fears come to life, those fears are still not real. They work like nightmares, where anything you might see can't actually hurt you. However, he can attempt to make you die of fright, or even harm yourself by manipulating you to do so, via your nightmare come to life. His hypnotic melody is exactly what it sounds like, when Jay sings he is capable of emitting astonishingly beautiful and enchanting singing voice that is capable of summoning/luring anyone who hears it to come towards the singer and enter a hypnotic state. The lyrics can manipulate the listener to do what he wants them to do. Unfortunately, he cannot control this power though, and prefers to just not sing. This is a power that can only effect those who are listening when he sings, which makes it pretty easy to avoid if you plug your ears. Just a month after he was born, she abandoned him and his father never to be seen or heard from again. Luckily, Jay never really got to know his mother so it wasn't that hard for him to deal with. However, he did wonder why she abandoned them, and always blamed himself a little. He even wondered what she looked like from time to time and what she was like to have his father in lover with her enough to have a child. He knew it was tough for his dad though, so Jayden never asked about her or even asked to see what she looked like. So, growing up it was just Jay and his father, sometimes having his Aunt, Uncle and younger cousin present as well. He idolized his father and admired what he did for everyone as a chaser, and wanted to follow in his footsteps so badly. Jay would tag along to his father's training sessions, trying to copy some of the sparring moves he would see in the hand to hand combat. Excitingly, Jayden would discover his first ability when he was the age of seven. He had been singing to himself in class as he normally did, and suddenly all the girls of the class surrounded him and hung on his every word. No amount of attempted distraction would get them out of the trance, so the teacher knew Jay was gifted. Proud as a father could be Jayden's dad began to teach him little techniques here and there, trying to help his son gain control of his powers. Though Jay never quite grasped it, they were surprised yet again when his son showed signs of yet another power. The young boy at the age of ten had accidentally used his bogey power on his father, a slightly traumatizing experience to see his father so terrified to the point of tears. When it was over though, his father explained what exactly had happened and that he would help Jay with that as well. The happy times only lasted for another two years when his father never returned home from a chaser mission. Instead, his body was recovered and his father was honored having died to save the rest of his comrades. Jay would be left without his father and best friend, being taken in by his Aunt and Uncle. Though it wasn't the same as having his father, Jayden felt loved and accepted by his pseudo family, never once feeling left out or outcast. Jay quickly became close with his younger cousin, the two often pretending to be chaser partners in life. They even gave each other cool nicknames for when they became full fledged chasers, Toy and Nal. Life would remain this way through Jayden's years until he turned fifteen. It was then that he would be accepted into the chaser academy to his and his family's excitement. For the first year of attendance, Jayden would commute to and from school not wanting to leave home and his family. On his sixteenth birthday he would finally decide to be independent and move into the dorms, so he could get all the practice he needed with his powers. He had a good grasp on his fear inducement, but still couldn't grasp how to control his hypnotic melody. So, reassuring his cousin that he would also get into the academy and they would be Nal and Toy the dynamic duo once more, he was off to the dorms. Since being there, he has settled well, and now has almost a full grasp on one power. His secondary power still being out of control enough to make him avoid singing at all unless he finds himself alone.
