Silently, Fritz remained beside Kristina, his gaze looking through the threshold of the closet door and into his room. Bright flashes and loud bangs came from the stormy outside world which he usually enjoyed. Everything was dark until flashes of lightning shone through the window, only to be followed by the typical clap of thunder. Almost like a guard, Fritz watched the world outside of the closet with observant eyes. His gaze drifting back to Kristina momentarily when he was caught in her embrace for a second time. "It's alright, nothing is going to hurt you," Fritz whispered in the same calming tone he used previously. Clearly Kristina had a serious problem with thunderstorm, which Fritz easily guessed was due to the incident. Despite the terror the event raised, Fritz hadn't truly felt anymore fears arise from the occasion. Moments later, he heard Kristina's sobs as she cried during the embrace.
"It's okay, Kris. Everything will be alright, I promise," Fritz said. There was no way Fritz was going to move until Kristina calmed down, even if the storm dragged out through the night and left him tired due morning. This was one of the very few times that Fritz refused to retain his distant attitude, mostly since a friend needed him. Eventually, the time came when the lightning and thunder ceased, leaving only the gentle patter of rain tapping the window. Inside the closet was where Fritz remained, waiting for Kristina to compose herself. His gaze remained on the room outside of the closet when he felt the release of her embrace and heard her sniffle along with say an apology. "That doesn't matter," Fritz began, before hesitating and continuing. "Are you alright now?" A simple question that Fritz felt obligated to ask, solely due to his concerns over what had occurred. A few minutes of silence led to Kristina wanting help to get out of his closet.
"Of course, whatever you need," Fritz responded and soon began to help the girl up. Her cheeks were flushed bright red, which Fritz presumed was from the tears shed. He also knew that he would probably get knocks from the neighbors about the scream they may have heard. For the time being, Fritz pushed the thought aside and focused on helping Kristina.
