Valentines Party (Open to All, Site Mini Plot)

[Dream Wolf]

 Dream made the final checks on the food tables and the decorations. When he planned something he did it right the first time. He glanced at the clock. Candy and Kris hadn't come downstairs yet... It was understandable for Kris, she was obviously still upset over her brothers, in fact this party was to try and cheer her up really. Well in part, if he openly said it was for her sake, she would refuse to come, he was pretty sure anyway. But he also had been told that all he needed to become  a full Chaser was to pass his Assessment. And that deserved a celebration too.


He walked to the doors as he sensed some people coming up the stairs. Calus and Lasha were there and so were two Chaser who had worked with his parents, Mike and Molly, a brother sister team. He smiled and invited them in. He left the doors open, since Mike had a Heat power that warmed the area to a comfortable level. He hen went in search of Candy and Kris. He reached out with his Absorb to find their energies. They were both in Kris's room. He tromped up the steps, ready to fight with them both. He had already given Kris the warm, specially made Dress that he had bougt for her. He knew she didn't like formal wear, but he was hoping to help her along with her relationship with Fritz, just to be a jerk. HaHa!


He knocked on the door, waited for the count of three and opened it, since Kris never locked her door. He slammed the door hut behind him, almost catching Candy's fingers as she attempted to slip out behind him.


"The guests have begun to arrive. You both will be downstairs, DRESSED, and ready to mingle. If you give me grief, I will dress you like the children you are acting like. Candy, you know I will, I did it at your graduation... I will do it again. Kris, you are my friend and like a sister to me, but if you act like a little kid, I will treat you like one."

Kristina hadn't slept real well since her brothers were murdered, her aunt had killed them. She had been next and in her nightmares her aunt doesn't miss her and she wakes up just before she dies. It is always the same, breathing heavy, wishing to scream but holding back to avoid being loud. Vincent always woke up and would move his body against her as if trying to comfort her. She didn't tell Dream or Candy of the nightmares, unaware that both knew about them. She didn't tell Isidore either, even though she was sure he would make her feel better. It just wasn't something she could throw on their shoulders. There was a dress laying on her bed, as much as she hated wearing formal clothes she found there would be no way out of this one. Candy also had gotten her makeup and she found herself covered in it by the time Dream had come in.

She was wearing a white t-shirt with blue jeans, clearly in no hurry to put the dress on. She heard a knock on the door before hearing it open to see Dream walk in and close it behind him. Kristina found herself laughing not sure if she believed he had really done that to his cousin or not, though Dream still didn't know that Candy was his cousin. She found herself looking at Dream, "Is that a challenge?" She asked, yes she would tease him before she was forced to put it on. Everybody knew they were likely to have hell if any male tried dressing her. It was bad enough her mother did it while she was growing up. "I'll hold you to that, perhaps another time." She joked, tempted to kick him out of her room so that she could get dressed, seeing as she wasn't in the mood to test if he meant it or not.

She sighed when she was finally alone in her room, she stared at the dress for the longest time before she finally changed into it. I hate formal clothing.... hate.... hate.... hate... hate... hate it. She brushed her hair over before sighing. This is going to be such a long night. I might as well try and enjoy it. She grabbed her watch, that she had bought earlier this morning and put it around her left wrist. She walked over to her phone and looked at it. Sorry Isidore... I'm leaving this up here.... She didn't think it would feel right if she invited him to come to the party seeing as she didn't really care to be here herself, but she couldn't just up and leave could she? Her wallet was on the top of the dresser next to her phone.

She turned away from her dresser and walked towards the closet to grab her booths before putting them on. With the dress Dream bought her boots still looked good with them, which was good because she didn't like any other kind of shoes, these were comfortable at least. She then walked towards her door and opened it before walking out, closing the door behind her. Vincent was somewhere around here, likely taking care of any mice that chose to make home here. He was free to roam the house or be outside, making it easy for her to take care of him because he had his own food caught and he didn't need anybody cleaning up after him because he was an outdoor cat. Kristina walked down the stairs, careful to not trip before standing on the bottom to see all the guests who showed up.

[Max Abner]

Max was chewing at their nails. They were still really shaken up by what had happened a few nights ago. They had never seen another person die, let alone like that and they didn't really know how to react. They still hadn't told their parents about what had happened. After a while they sighed and stood up and started going through their closet. As much as they were feeling awful Kris must be feeling worse so we're going to go to the Valentines party and they were going to have fun and cheer people up. They came out of their closet carrying a few clothes and began getting changed.

When they were done Max was wearing black pants, a pink button up shirt, and a black vest. They straightened their vest and then put on a bow tie with little red hearts on it. They took a deep breath and smiled at their reflection before leaving their room. As they were walking out the door they spotted something on their kitchen table and grabbed them too.

They were about a quarter of the way to Dream and Candy's house when they thought of something that might cheer Kris up. Max started jogging a different direction. When they arrived at Fritz's door they began knocking on it like something was wrong and when Fritz opened his door they pranced in. "We're going to a party." They stated as they opened his closet and began rooting through his clothes. They found a fancier outfit and threw it at Fritz. He needed to look nice and handsome so that he could woo Kris. Max figured that maybe a grump like Fritz might be able to cheer her up. They might make a cute couple eventually.

Once Fritz was dressed Max pulled him out the door and they we're back on track to Candy and Dream's house. They skipped along and smiled to themself. It would be fun. Once arriving at the house Max walked up to the door and knocked a couple of times. They then turned to look at Fritz. "Okay listen here buddy. You are going to be on your best and happiest behaviour or so help me." Max crossed their arms as they looked at him with steel in their eyes. They were talking to him like he wasn't almost twice their age. Of course they wanted this to be a good party so they brought Fritz along, but they also needed him to be good.

[Fritz Jacobs]

Loudly erupting through the house, a series of concerning knocks startled the young immortal. With long strides, Fritz rushed to the door, thinking the worst up until he opened the door. There stood Max, stating that he would end up being dragged to a party they were going to. Despite Fritz's many objections to the idea, he was ignored and it ended with him dressed up fancy and going to the party with Max. Fritz was forced to leave Oblivion at home, leaving him weaponless and rather discontent with the current situation. In a nice dress shirt and pants, there wasn't much choice to what Fritz could do. Thus, Fritz followed quietly behind Max towards the location of the party, still having no clue where or who would even be there. Ahead of them, Max skipped as though it was a happy spring day rather a cold winter night (Presuming night).

Upon arriving at the door, Max knocked on the door then turned to him. Strangely enough, it turned to a lecture about being on his best behavior as well as his happiest. "If you wanted happy why didn't you just drag someone else along?" Fritz asked his mentors. The crossed arm nor the steel gaze deterred Fritz even slightly. Foot tapping against the ground, Fritz impatiently waited for his answer, well unaware of Max's matchmaking idea.

Dream went to the door, surprised it was closed again, but not too surprised, several people had arrived already and one of them may have closed the door out of courtesy. He opened it with a big smile on his face...one that quickly dropped when he saw who was there. He was happy to see Max, but he still remembered how Fritz had looked when Fang exploded the evil lady. He put on a fake smile and held the door wide for them.

"Please enjoy yourselves, Max, Fritz." He looked at Max, hoping to catch their eye, while also trying to get them to notice Kris at the bottom of the steps. He wanted to talk to Max, to explain what had happened that day. He valued their friendship, and even if his feels were confused, he didn't want them to think he was a murderer. He still suffered nightmares about it. He dreamed of losing control and everyone who came near him ended up a splatter of gore on the wall or street. Last night it had been Max in the Dream...

Kristina saw Dream when she reached the bottom of the stairs, he was answering the door, something she had heard but wasn't fast enough to answer. When Dream opened the door she could see Max and Fritz, she turned her head as if looking for somebody else as she heard Dream greeting Max and Fritz. Don't notice me, don't notice me.... She hadn't figured it out that Dream and Max was trying to set her up with Fritz, but she was having second thoughts about the dress. Dream, why'd you make me wear this dress again? She thought to herself as she looked at the watch on her wrists. The party was just getting started, but thoughts had once more crossed her mind of the death of her brothers. Dream had told her not to use her account and she had listened to him, Fritz was even nice enough to allow her to call him, each time she was close to getting into a fight with some stupid person.

[Max Abner]

As Frisk spoke Max was just about ready to chew them out and demand that they be happy. Of course that was when they heard the door opening and turned around to see Dream opening the door. For a second they remembered him killing Kris's aunt, but they quickly reminded theirself not to think about that and smiled at him. When he welcomed them in they stepped inside and looked at Fritz. "You go talk to somebody. I'll catch up with you soon." They told the older male and then turned back to Dream. They smiled at him and produced a singular rose which they held out for him.

"It's nice to see you. I'm glad you decided to have a party for Valentine's Day." They told him. They considered saying that they were debating not coming, but they didn't. They didn't want to be a downer when the deaths were still pretty recent. They chewed at their nails again as their eyes tracked Fritz and silently urged him towards Kris, who was dressed in a beatiful dress. Max might have swooned any other night, even if it was only just for show. They flicked their gaze back to Dream and smiled once again. They might have been overplaying the smiles.

[Fritz Jacobs]

A barely audible click sounded from the doorknob, causing for Max's demands to end. Fritz turned back towards the door, forgetting all need for an answer to his inquiry. Within the doorway stood Dream, who opened the door wide and invited them inside. There was a concern that crawled up Fritz's back once he saw Dream, remembering the gory scene on the streets. Fritz's facial expression didn't waver, remaining the same straight and gloomy face it was. Upon entering the room where the party was located, Max told him to go talk with someone. Fritz sighed, he was irritated enough with being dragged along by a thirteen-year-old just to attend some Valentine's Day party. Clueless to the truth behind Max's reasoning for bringing him along, Fritz simply looked about the room. For the most part, Fritz was unfamiliar with the faces around the place, making Max's new demand awfully difficult.

Unaware of the eyes tracking his every move, Fritz looked around a bit longer before spotting Kristina by the stairs. Although she was still an acquaintance, Fritz at least knew her. With a shrug, Fritz ventured towards the stairs, weaving through the crowd and towards the girl. From what the immortal could see, Kristina was wearing a beautiful dressed, suggesting to Fritz that she may have been excited for the occasion or wanted to look nice. Eventually, Fritz managed to get through the crowd and near Kristina. "Hey, are you doing alright?" He asked, remembering the gruesome scene vividly. Despite Fritz having no wishes to gain any relations with anyone, he at least wanted to make sure Kristina was doing alright after the incident.

Dream didn't need to be a telepath to know Fritz's first thought was of what had happened. He sensed he energy of it everywhere...every person there was thinking of it, even those who were acting friendly. He watched Fritz walk off until the Chaser found his way to Kris. He turned to Max with a small smile.

"Well at least that worked. I have something for you to see today, not right now, but soon." He nodded at the table with sweets on it. "You want another game of Truth or Dare?" He offered the game as a way to broach the subject of what happened, he would answer truthfully to any question they asked about it.

Kristina noticed Fritz heading towards her. Run away, run away. The question had caught her off guard, she allowed a small sigh to escape between her lips. "I'm doing alright." She answered him back, forcing a fake smile to appear on her face expression. Nobody needs to know about my suffering, not a single person. "How are you doing?" She asked after a few seconds of answering his question. He looks really nice. She thought to herself, she didn't know that Max had dragged him over here. It was okay though, she liked being around Fritz, even though at first they had gotten off on a rough start. She glanced towards Dream, he seemed to be putting on the show... she didn't want him to feel like he needed to appear like able to the rest of the world.

Candy had told her about Fritz face expression when her brothers had died and how it looked worse after Dream had murdered her aunt. She wouldn't have come in... death was the only option for her.... he had killed her on accident. "Are you doing okay?" She has already asked the question and he had given an answer but that wasn't what she had meant. She knew that Fritz was weary around Dream, almost everybody at the party was weary. If there one thing she didn't have to put on a fake expression for it was trusting Dream with her life. She knew that he wouldn't harm her and that he wouldn't harm anybody else for that matter. She just wished everybody else could see what she was able to see.

[Max Abner]

As Max watched Fritz go an talk to Kris they heard Dream mention that he had something for them later. Max raised an eyebrow and laughed a little. "Surprises are always fun." they laughed and followed Dream's line of sight to the table with sweets. When he mentioned truth or dare they remembered the last time the two of them had played the game at the Christmas party. It had been a while ago, but that had bee a fun short game of truth or dare. "Sounds like a good idea. Hopefully Oscura doesn't interrupt us this time." Max joked and walked over to the table. They grabbed a cookie and took a bite. Once they swallowed they turned to Dream. "Since I went first last time you should go first this time. I choose dare." Max stated. They were hoping to avoid truth as much as possible tonight and keep to dares, which were usually fun and goofy, because truths could be very revealing.

Dream smiled. His surprise was an axe, of course, since he knew that Max liked theirs. He had snuck around, found some designs on their current one, since he didn't want them to have to adapt to a new one, and made one from a smelted ore he called Congolate, it was made from high density iron from a sub tropical place, and a metal that some said came from the stars. The two were decent on their own, but he had found that by mix them at a molecular level, without heat, they became ten times stronger than 440 steel, but didn't weigh any more. The new axe actually should weigh about three pounds less than the old. But he hadn't stopped with just making it similar, he had added his own touch. The axe was painted with a special red paint, with protective symbols from his Father's ancestor's homeland. If the symbols worked, Max would be protected from Death, as long as they held the axe.

He grinned at the dare. Screw it. I'll take them to it now. The thought was in his head before he knew it. "I dare you to close your eyes and take my hand." Once they did, as he knew they would, he led them up the stairs, offering a quiet warning when they reached the steps, and took them to the Armory. His house had a small one. He took Max to a wall and turned them to face the Axe as it hung on the wall. "Now open them."

A few moments after Fritz asked the question, Kristina sighed and flashed a smile. Although it was a smile of plastic, Fritz didn't notice the fake emotion that was before him. He had given Kristina free reign to call him if she needed to, this included when she got into fights. "That's good to hear, and I okay as well," Fritz answered. The resolution of the aunt incident had been something Fritz wished he hadn't been around, but then no one would've taken Kristina home. Alongside that idea was the fact that Kristina wouldn't have received his number either, which meant that she would only get into more trouble. The question about how Fritz was feeling returned once again, but Fritz wasn't going to give his thoughts. "I'm completely fine, really," Fritz assured as he stood near Kristina. Fritz crossed his arms, leaning against the wall near the stairs. Surprisingly, the immortal hadn't been to many parties, leaving him clueless. "So... You have any ideas of what to do?" Fritz asked, his eyes trailing around the party.

Kristina noticed the answer he gave which was why she had bothered asking the question again. When he claimed once more he was fine she took his answer for what it was. He then moved against the wall with his arms crossed as he leaned against it. "This is the first party I've been to...." She wasn't sure what exactly they should do because she hadn't ever been to one before. "The formal idea was all Dream and Candy's idea... I don't normally do formal." Maybe I shouldn't have brought that up. "It is a really nice dress though..." She found herself looking down at it. She was glad to have her watch on her wrist so that she could keep track of the time. When this party was done she was going to clean it up and pass out on the couch. "Do you have any suggestions?" She asked finally, opting to change the subject on him completely.

A thought then crossed her mind, she didn't know that Dream and Max were currently playing it but she didn't think any harm could come from the game assuming Fritz wanted to join along. "Would you care to play truth and dare with me?" Though if at all possible she had no plans on saying any truths about her brothers, nor ask him anything on the subject. The game was mostly for the pleasure of the dare part of it. Though the game having truth meant it would be easier for her to get to know him in a fun sort of way.

[Max Abner]

At Dream's dare Max raised an eyebrow and chuckled. "What a strange dare." They teased as they closed their eyes and held out their hand. They weren't entirely sure where they were going but as Dream led them they let their mind wander. At first they wondered if he was taking them to see the surprise he had mentioned. As they kept thinking though enevitably their mind shifted to the recent deaths. They pushed that away when Dream warned them about the stairs. They laughed as they slowly kept up the stairs, trying not to trip and keeping their eyes closed at the same time. "You know Dream if your dare was for me to fall down the stairs there was an easier way to do it." They were only half joking. Of course they made it to the top in one piece though and then they were lead once again until they stopped in a new room.

Max opened their eyes when Dream told them to and the sight of the axe made excitement well up in their chest. "Oh my goodness!" they exclaimed as they looked over the axe. It was the exact same model as the axe they had, but it a much nicer design. The paint was a nice red and it had symbols on it too. "What do those mean?" Max asked quietly. It was such a nice weapon and they were fairly sure that Dream had made it. Considering Max had seen him create great knives they were sure that this axe was probably better than the one they had now in some way. They turned to him. "Is this the surprise you were talking about?" Max questioned. They absolutely loved it.
