[Tayte Abbot]

It was the middle of the night, a time that wasn't good for the citizens of Argi to be out and about. If the Darkness saw, heard, or even smelled you then you'd have to fight to get out of there. For Tayte, he would just have to run. He was easily as fast as a Razor, and everything else was slower than them, so at night all he had to do was run. Tonight he was already running. It wasn't a matter of running away, just running for the sake of running. It was one of the few things we was really good at.

Tayte's headphones were on and he was listening to a lecture about aerodynamics. He listened to anything about aerodynamics he could get his hands on. It helped him with his learning how to fly. He often tested out wings based on his learnings of these, but mostly it ended with him breaking an arm or something. Of course he healed fast so it didn't much matter. Today he wasn't testing out any pair of wings, just running and listening. After this he had a news broadcast from the six months he had lost to listen to.

Tayte was running circles around at the old abandoned docks. His phone was in his pockets and he was wearing a black jacket and skinny jeans. The lecture was sped up about three times and to other people it might sounds weird but to him it just sounded like somebody was talking. Sometimes Tayte hated talking to other people because of just how slow they talk, of course people must feel the same way sometimes because to them he talked way too fast. Tayte was about to move on to running in another place when he saw movement out of the corner of his eyes. He whipped around to see what it might have been.

	Stretching her arms over her head, Kata strode out of the gym as the transparent double doors slid open. Her porcelain skin was slick with sweat, she resignedly noted as she pulled her cyan hair up in a loose bun with a neon green hairband. Gross. A cropped jersey jacket materialized on her wiry frame, white with baggy green sleeves and yellow star designs stenciled on and a turtleneck-like color the same color as the pointed shapes bunched loosely around her slender neck. It was zipped all the way up, the path of the zipper marked with a straight green line leading down to the fleecy, yellow fringe, keeping her waist exposed. In the stead of her shorts, a plaited skirt switched in with a similar color scheme, along with brightly-colored sneakers. On someone else it might look tacky, but with her youthful appearance and bright blue hair it looked pretty snazzy on her, in her opinion. When had it gotten this late? Her muscles throbbed with overwork and her lungs ached as if they were carrying lead, but she felt good. Residue adrenaline rang in her veins as she began the trek back to her apartment. Tomorrow she was supposed to get up early for her appointment at the professional music studio she had reserved for three hours, so she was supposed to be sleeping by now. Well, whatever. She never stuck to her sleep schedule, and anyway she could just drink a load of coffee tomorrow morning, like she always did. It wouldn't help to cool off for a bit more, Kata decided as she veered towards the abandoned docks, neon and white sneakers clopping against the sidewalk. She stretched her arms over her head and winced as a fresh wave of pain washed over her shoulders. Yeah, it would be a good idea to loosen up before she went to bed. In her pleasantly exhausted state, though, if the Darkness descended upon her she would have to run. Fast. As she reached Argi Port, footsteps pattered nearby, and she turned to see a boy some years younger than her running. Just running. Fast. She raised her eyebrows as he blurred past, beginning to walk towards the tranquil ocean again. The moment she took a step, though, he whirled around so fast that she might he would get whiplash. He must have sensed her presence. Stuffing her hands into the pockets of her half-jacket, she leaned on the wall of a crumbling warehouse and nodded casually towards Tayte. "Um, hey. Sorry if I interrupted whatever you were doing." Which was, as far as she could tell, running laps in an abandoned port. Didn't he know how dangerous such an activity was? Then again, she observed, with that speed he could probably outrun even a Razor. "Hope you're not running away from home or whatever." Of course he wasn't. She wasn't dumb; it was just her way of inciting small talk.

[Tayte Abbot]

A girl with blue hair had no been who he had expected to see. When Tayte whipped around he had expected to see a Razor running towards him, or maybe a scary Chaser person who would yell at them to get off the streets at that time of night. Instead he saw a girl who looked a littler older than him, and although she maybe could have been a Chaser, Tayte didn't think she was. He was wrong of course, and she was a Chaser, but he didn't think about it. Instead he ran over to her and came to a full stop in front of her where she lent against the building.

Tayte took out his headphones and caught the 'sorry if I interrupted what you were doing' part of her speech. He simply shrugged. "I wasn't doing much, just running and listened to some professor talk about stuff." He explained in his way to fast voice. When Tayte talked everything he said was stated about ten times faster than a normal person would talk. His eyes looked her up and down. She looked like she might have been working out or running. Tayte heard her say something about running away from home and laughed.

"If I wanted to run away I would be long gone already, I'm just running. Why are you here though? Are you running away from home? Is that why you brought up the subject?" Tayte raised an eyebrow after he asked his questions. If she was running away from home she wasn't very well dressed for it. The skirt wouldn't keep the winter cold away. Tayte himself was wearing a zip up plain black jacket with a white fur inside the hood, with dark skinny jeans and bright yellow running shoes. All the stuff kept the warmth in. He wondered if the jacket she was wearing was warm enough. If it wasn't, that combined with the skirt might not be the best choice in clothes. Tayte was probably more worried about her freezing to death then he had been about a Darkness attacking him.
