A small figure makes it's way through the tall grass. The night is quiet and still. The only sound coming from the chirp of crickets. The grass sways as a cold wind blows through, shaking leaves from the trees, creating a vibrantly colourful carpet in the dirt. From far away the person crossing the field would look like a child, lost in the wilderness. This was not the case though, the young girl had snuck out to be alone. She loved being outside at night, especially in the fall. It was cooler out at night and the girl wasn't too fond of heat. She walked slowly, looking around as if she was admiring the colourful trees. She seemed content with the silence as she walked.
If you were to get closer , you would see a girl of about fifteen, with blood red hair. Her eyes were closed and she mouthed the words to a song no one else could hear. When she opened her eyes, she smiled and her black eye seemed to sparkle in the moonlight. As she looked about, she reached into the bag hanging at her side and pulled out a phone and some headphones. Placing them over her ears, she started her music and as the played she began to dance.

You don't remember me but I remember you
I lie awake and try so hard not to think of you
But who can decide what they dream?
And dream I do...
I believe in you
I'll give up everything just to find you
I have to be with you to live, to breathe
You're taking over me
Have you forgotten all I know
And all we had?
You saw me mourning my love for you
And touched my hand
I knew you loved me then
I believe in you
I'll give up everything just to find you
I have to be with you to live, to breathe
You're taking over me
I look in the mirror and see your face
If I look deep enough
So many things inside that are just like you are taking over
I believe in you
I'll give up everything just to find you
I have to be with you to live, to breathe
You're taking over me
I believe in you
I'll give up everything just to find you
I have to be with you to live, to breathe
You're taking over me
Taking over me
You're taking over me
Taking over me
Taking over me

She spun and swayed, as if dancing to with a partner, a faint grin playing across her lips. She danced along through the field, the tall grass tickling her bare legs. She twirled around, kicking up leaves and catching her foot on a stick. She fell, landing on her butt and laughed. It felt good to laugh, she hadn't in a long time. She was happy out here by herself. No worries, no cares, she wouldn't let anything bother her tonight. And she stood up, brushing off her shorts that she rarely wore and continued along. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath decided to test her powers. She had come out here tonight to relax, enjoy herself, and practice her powers.
She began with simple things, picking up sticks and rocks, before moving on to the heavier things. When she was done with that she threw sticks up in the air and practiced freezing them, or slowing them down. She practiced long distance and isolation it to one area. When she began to feel tired, she stopped and sat down. Building herself a small hut out of sticks and leaves around her. She was proud of herself for being able to control her powers so well. And she sat there, listening to her music and humming along quietly.
