Pan looked at the phone that was slid towards her. She shrugged and typed her number in before sliding it back. The phone was mostly just for work, but what did it matter if there was somebody telling her when they found something out about Oscuro's immortality. It didn't really. Pan leant back in the chair and pulled her legs up onto the chair with her. She flipped through the pages of the book, finding that they were mostly about Luz. It made sense considering that he had much more contact with humans. She wasn't a big fan of him though. Of course she had to read about him in case it talked about his immortality. If it talked about his then Pan could assume that any of the information might apply to Oscuro as well.

When Kris plunked the books down on the table Pan looked up at the books. Pan had read most of them, but she noticed one that she hadn't read so she reached out and pointed to it. "I haven't read this one." she told Kris and was about to try and take it from the middle of the pile when she thought better of it. Instead Pan took off the few books ontop of it and the pile was split up. Pan pulled the book she hadn't read towards her and then continued reading the one she had stolen from Kris. It was kind of boring though. "Do you have any powers?" Pan Asked the other girl. Pan wasn't very fond of her powers. The had telepathy that she could never shut off and Psychoscopy that made her want to throw up whenever she used it and sometimes ended with her feinting. Neither were very good powers. Maybe Kris had it better.

Kristina had taken her phone back to see that Pan had added her number in it. She then placed it back in her pocket. Shortly after she had left to get the books and bring them back to the table, she had asked if she had read all of them or not before spreading the books on the table. "Okay." The two Pan would end up having would be read by her once she was finished just to make sure there wasn't anything they missed. She had her phone out to take notes when she heard Pan ask her a question. "Yes, as far as I know I only have water element. It would be cool if I happened to get another one or two." She smiled, reminded that her brothers had fire as their element... but then it was that very same day her aunt had killed them and thrown them at her, before Dream was forced to kill her. The memory gave her pain but she forced a fake expression on her face, believing that Pan couldn't read her mind because she had claimed such.

When Kristina explained that she had the water element as a power Pan looked up at her. That was a much better power. Then her thoughts trailed to brothers, and then to said brothers' deaths, and then the death of an aunt. It seemed that Kris had quite the handful of death. Pan couldn't tell if it had happened recently, but from the grief wrapped around the memory and the way her thoughts had jumped to it so easily Pan guessed that it had happened in the near past. Pan considered saying something about it, but that would give away the idea that she couldn't read Kris's mind so instead Pan looked down at her book once again.

Pan finished a few more of the pages in the book before she blew some of her wild hair out of her eyes. One of the pieces kept slipping down into her eyes. Pan ran her fingers through her hair to try to tame it a little. She frowned and then looked back at her book. There wasn't very much interesting stuff in it about Luz so she skimmed through the book until it got to a part about Luz living for eternity. It pretty much stated that he had been living as long as there had been people and that nobody knew if it was possible for him to die. Pan rolled her eyes.

Kristina found herself looking through the books again, jotting down possible useful notes that she would have to look into further, she turned the page as she continued looking for information. There wasn't much to go on but there were bits and pieces that could be useful later and would require her to look into the matter much more closely when she had them in a proper notebook. Though it would mean instead of getting through the book in a normal amount of time she would take thirty minutes later than that. She found herself reading the same sentence twice before jotting it down onto her phone to look into later.

She continued flipping through the pages, surprised that Pan hadn't found much of the information in here to be useful, but it was fine, she would figure it out later she was sure. She was starting to grow tired of reading the same type of subject over again so she forced her phone to send the text message to herself, before rubbing her eyes. One of her flaws, even she wanted to sleep after staring at a book so long. She looked towards Pan, "Did you find anything interesting?"

After reading for a while Pan heard Kris ask a question and looked up. Anything interesting? Not really. Anything helpful? Also not really. Pan sighed and shrugged. "What about you?" Pan asked. She was dying to get up and move. She had been coming to the library for a while now and sitting there doing nothing could get a little repetitive. She had probably read more books on immortality in the past year than anybody who didn't have immortality actually needed to. Pan had just been trying to figure out a way to kill a god. Was that really so hard? Pan flipped the book closed and set it on the table. She leaned her head onto her hands as she looked at Kris. Pan found that she wasn't a very big fan of the other girl. Maybe it was all her thoughts.

Kristina looked towards Pan, "I'm not sure yet. I'm taking notes of my findings to see if I can come up with some sort of pattern." Sometimes for you to find out more about immortals you had to search where one wouldn't normally search, look up key phases and decide if they really meant something or not. She didn't honestly believe Pan would find much in the books if all she did was read them. She believed if she wanted answers she would have to search them out. She found herself yawning slightly, Pan had shifted and was looking at her. "Is everything alright?" She asked finally, gathering the books slowly, since Pan had taken the one she had wanted and another one from the stack she had the others still to check out. Having finished stacking the books she slowly pushed the chair out to stand, yes she would take these books back to her home and finish taking notes from them.

Perhaps Pan was staring, but she wasn't really one for subtlety. Sitting there and listening to Kris blabber on about books and research was making her just about ready to lunge across the table and strangle somebody. Pan had never been to great at research. So when Kris stood up Pan's eyes tracked her. "Everything's fine, but where are you going?" Pan figured from her thoughts that she was going to her house, wherever that was, but she had to keep up the lie that she couldn't read Kristina's thoughts. It was almost less annoying pretending not to be able to read thoughts. There was no wondering about their secrets being found out, Pan could just hear them in peace. Pan began to gather up the books she had as if she planned on going with Kris to her destination.

When Pan finally answered her question she found herself looking at Pan when she asked where she was going. "I was going to head home, it may look easy to read all these books and jot notes down but it kills the eyes like there is no tomorrow." The plan was to go home, rest, start taking notes again. Not to mention she thought she would be just fine writing her notes down in her phone, but she would much rather being doing it in her notebook instead. When Pan gathered her stuff, she couldn't help but wonder where Pan was going, then a thought hit her. "Would you like to join me?" Yes it was an invitation. Next stop would be for her to check out these books, so that she would be able to take them home with her. "I'm also slightly distracted over the death of my brothers." Damn aunt. If she had known Pan could read her minds, she might have chosen her thoughts more carefully.

All Kristina did was confirm what Pan had originally thought, but then something unpredictable happened. The other girl actually asked Pan to go with her. Pan's eyes quickly darted around the room, as if she was looking for a hidden camera. She found that she was panicked once again. Surprises weren't something that Pan liked and the fact that somebody actually invited her over to their house was indeed surprising. Then Kris went ahead and mentioned her brothers out loud and thought about her aunt and Pan looked back at the girl. "Yea sure I have nothing to lose." Pan stated as she stood up. She could always use a psychic attack she had been working on if it turned out that this was some kind of elaborate trap, but at the moment it seemed unlikely. Kristina wasn't thinking about a trap so it was unlikely that there was one. A benefit to all this was that Pan would know where she lived. For what purpose Pan would want this information she didn't know, but maybe eventually it might come in handy.

Kristina did think Pan looked creepy but it wasn't polite for her to judge based off of appearance, in her mind Pan seemed like she was a nice girl. She had thoughts in her own mind of having to learn to be so much nicer. She didn't want to be a rude person, even though she had moments of being one anyway. Pan agreed to come along with her. "Great." She smiled, she turned and headed towards the counter to check out her books, once they were in her name she had once more placed them in her arms to carry them out with her. Kristina waited for Pan to check out her books if she planned on bringing them along with her before heading towards the door. She was heading towards Dream's home, having her stuff there currently.

Pan was still completely baffled as she followed Kris over to the counter to check out their books. Pan heard Kris's thoughts on her and was quite frankly annoyed that the other girl was this comfortable around her. Maybe accepting an invention over to somebody's house was a bad idea. Still there was really no going back. Pan wasn't going to chicken out of something as simple as going to a house. Of course for her it wasn't that simple. There were all kinds of implications of a meaningful friendship written behind it and that freaked her out. Pan checked out her books and stuffed them into her book bag along with her notebook and her sketchbook. She then turned to Kristina expectantly. Apparently they were going to a person's house named Dream. Were they living together? Brother and sister maybe? Or dating? Pan kept her suspicions to herself as she got ready to follow Kris to wherever it was that they were going.

Kristina opened the door for Pan before exiting herself. She then lead the way to Dream's house, unable to avoid keeping random thoughts out of her head. "How do you control when I hear your thoughts or not?" She asked finally, knowing if Pan choice to answer she would hear the voice in her head. As they slowly walked towards Dream's house she noticed a couple of boys from school. They used to pick on Garrett... now I'm there new target.... don't notice me, don't notice me... The boys had wandered over.

"Oh hey Kristina, I see your on your new project of books.... You still need to help me with my homework...." Even though they had their ass kicked by Kenshin, they still never seemed to learn to leave her alone. She had told Fritz if she had a problem like this she would be allowed to call him. I hate these boys.... "I already told you, do you own damn homework." Now they were just looking to pick a fight with her, most likely because she had to be saved last time.

Her hands were full so she couldn't call Fritz. She felt herself being lifted into the air, normally seh wasn't one for dropping her books for her phone but in this case she would be forced to make an exception. "Pan...." She hoped the girl would notice and save the books as she attempted to grab her phone, dropping two on accident. She dialed Fritz number as she felt herself fall to the ground, landing on the remaining books.

"Help...." At least Fritz had answered her, before she was up again, she left the books on the ground, refusing to drop anymore of them while she was forced into the air again. She didn't want to fight, she didn't want to these boys to hurt her anymore. Perhaps the fear of turning into her aunt had crossed her mind and that was why she had chosen to avoid fighting.

She held the phone in her hands, unsure of what to say, perhaps cat finally got her tongue. She saw herself going down.... I don't want to hit the ground.... not again. FRITZ!!!! SAVE ME!!!! She moved her hand out in front of her and created water in her hand, being forced to use it to create as much water as possible before she hit the down once more.... water flew everywhere.

Her dire need of not crashing to the ground had saved her fall, but it had also used more energy than she was used to. FRITZ.... SAVE ME.... It was clear by her thoughts that she had some feelings towards Fritz, seeing him as a protector. Since Kristina hadn't used her powers against him, the boy was starting to grow bored, they had ignored Pan because she looked scary as hell.

He picked Kristina up by her collar and pushed her back onto the ground, clearly not respecting the gender rule of not harming a girl because one must be a gentleman. He seemed to notice the phone call but it was to late, the fight was about to get warmed up. "Fritz?" Am I dreaming or are you really here?

[Now seemed like the best time as ever to invite Fritz into the thread because I really badly want Pan to use that information she has just gained against her.]

Pan walked out of the library and followed Kris as she walked. The question about keeping Pan out of her head made Pan frown. "If you have one by all means use it. I've found that earmuffs work for me, but I'm not sure if they'd work when keeping me out." Pan explained. She would gladly let Kris block her out all she wanted, but right now Pan had found that only Fritz could do that.

The thoughts of bullying reached Pan and she looked forward to see the boys harassing Kris. Pan narrowed her eyes as she watched. According to Kris's thoughts they truly had no good reason to pick on her other than they had picked on her dead brother. That was a stupid reason to do that. Pan didn't get involved though and instead just stood back and started rooting around in her bag. Kristina's thoughts switched to phoning Fritz to get his help and Pan's eyes narrowed once again. She might not like Kris, but Fritz was tollerable and if he was friends with Kris then Pan might as well help now.

So Pan grabbed the books when Kris told her too and as Kris was raised up for a second time Pan slipped some brass knuckles onto her fist. Kris had already created her little barrier of water to stop herself and Pan could tell she couldn't do it again. That meant it was her turn to step in. So Pan stepped forward and in one movement had delivered a hard punch to one of the guy's gut. Her doubled over in pain and dropped. Pan stepped over him and towards the other boys. Kris's screaming in her head was distracting her, and the guy's panic was growing at seeing Pan, but still she wasn't going to just let them pick on Kris.

The other girl's feelings for Fritz were blatantly obvious and it made Pan want to turn around and punch her to, but instead she lashed out at the boy closest to her. She felt fist connect with jaw and this guy dropped to, blood splattering around. Pan zoned in on his thoughts. He wasn't dead yet. So she turned to fight off the rest of them only to find that they had already started running away. The albino glared at them as they left and kicked the two laying down to tell them to get up and get moving. Hopefully they caught the idea of it. Then she moved over to Kris and stood above the girl. "I'm not Fritz. He should be here soon to protect you or whatever." Pan didn't offer to help Kristina up.

Warmth embraced Fritz as he came through the front door of his apartment. Winter's breath had drawn the immortal inside, for he'd had enough of the cold stings provided. Fritz rubbed his bare hands together, the walk he'd taken had been a long and cold one, but delightful nonetheless. Before Fritz could unzip the black jacket he wore, a ringing erupted from a jacket pocket. Swiftly, Fritz's hand fished his cellphone from the jacket pocket to find that Kristina was phoning them. Picking up the call, Fritz brought the phone to his ear to say a greeting, but before the immortal at the chance the word "help" came over the phone. Without replying nor hanging up, Fritz shoved the phone into his pocket and rushed out the door. He weaved through the complex as fast as he could manage, for all that mattered was finding out what happened to Kristina. Pushing aside the doors of the complex, Fritz found himself on the sidewalk without a clue where he would be heading.

Taking a chance, Fritz headed down the streets towards the library. People glanced at him as the immortal ran quickly down the sidewalks until rounding the corner towards the library to find an interesting sight. Fritz had missed the final moments of the fight, which left him finding Pan with blooded brass knuckles standing over Kristina who was on the ground. Fritz rushed over, having not a single about what may have happened with the two girls. "What the... heck happened?" Fritz asked, sounding a bit exhausted from rushing over to the library. "I hope... you two aren't... fighting," Fritz said, feeling rather tired after his long dash towards the library. Catching his breath, Fritz straightened himself and looked at Pan who appeared as the culprit to attacking Kristina.

Kristina was really surprised to see that Pan had handled them instead of Fritz, next thing she knew Pan was standing over her. She could hear Pan in her mind before seeing Fritz near by her. Kristina let herself lay on the ground, she hurt all over. "We weren't fighting." She panted, figuring she would say it because it would be easier. "Pan just saved me...." She slowly looked around to see of those boys were still around or not. "That hurt.... that water really didn't catch my fall real well." She answered, mostly talking to herself as she slowly got to her feet. She wandered away to pick up the books from the ground before walking to Pan to collect the two books she had dropped when she was being thrown around in the air.

"Thanks Pan." She answered, Fritz is here now.... thank god... Yes she was crushing on Fritz, no she didn't realize that Pan could read her mind because she had asked and Pan had lied to her. "Did you still want to come to the house with me Pan?" She asked finally, tempted to invite Fritz if Pan still wanted to join her. It will be great having us all over to study.... with Fritz here we might find something. If she had known that Pan could read her thoughts she might have tried harder to avoid thinking about Fritz. If Fritz bothered looking at the books he would notice they were all about immortals. She had picked out the books to get a better feel for Luz, Pan had stolen one of the books and she in the end offered to assist.

[Time for some gossip so that Kris will feel the heat and flee, Pan must tell Kris' secrets to Fritz. xD]
