Kristina frowned, "You mean they made the circle after seeing your power?" She asked, confusing but still getting used to these powers. "I don't know why they should be terrified..." She answered back, never feeling safer in her life until she stood so close by him. She listened as he explained why they were so fearful of him, "I suppose, but as you said you would never harm somebody so they shouldn't be so fearful. I suppose that is teachers for you though. They are human with flaws... She sighed, "Well that sucks, I think I understand their point of view now but it doesn't make it right." She would still want to help somebody even if there was the risk that her energy would be absorbed. "Oh joy, right when i thought I had a chance of escaping it..." She joked, Oh well, school work isn't that bad. "Not allowed to?" It made sense but again wasn't right, "Well then I guess we are lucky you can still teach that class. Not that you'd get injured or anything but not being able to do stuff because they are fearful you will get injured and use your absorb, it's as if they expect the worst." She paused, "Do you wish you could play those sports?"

Dream took her to the training room and explained all the pieces of equipment, when he tried opening the door it wouldn't go, proving to be locked. "Oh well." She answered, following behind him until one of the doors nearby opened a lady with blonde hair came out. Didn't Nicholas get a phone cover with her pose on it? The lady spoke to Dream and then said her name and then introduced herself. "Hello Candy, you could call me Kris." She corrected, reaching out to take Candy's hand, once they touched the hand turned into a paw and Kristina let go to hide behind Dream as if she thought Candy might bite her. "Is that your power?" She asked finally, creeping out behind Dream, clearly putting her trust in him for safety.

Dream glared at Candy. "Don't do that Candy. Its not nice." Dream sighed and looked at Kris. "Candy is a shape shifter, she can change any aspect of her appearance and form. She can also make her blood poisonous, among other things. She can communicate with animals Telepathically, and is strong enough to feel human emotions too. She is also a true sword master, and a highly skilled Chaser Master. Sadly, her looks make her seem smarter than she really is." He got a punch in the shoulder for that one.


"I'm not that bad. Sorry I do that to everyone I meet." She laughed and turned to head dow the hall. "Come on i wanna show you the newest weapin added to the armory. Dream helped to design it, so he should get to see the final product."

Kristina was still hiding behind Dream when he told her not to that. "Oh... nice..." She listed to Candy's power and just smiled. "So you should be able to talk to my cat too then..." I could get tips on making his life much happier.... just saying... "Wait human?" She had been pulled out of her thought, "Just means I have to work harder on masking my emotions..." Something she wasn't about to give up on, because sometimes she had a hard time speaking up her mind. "You two act just like me, Nicholas and sometimes Garrett but mostly Nicholas..." She paused, "It's okay, just caught me by surprise. I'm still getting used to powers existing." She scratched the back of her head watching Candy turn and head down the hall she seemed to want Kristina to follow. "Come on Dream..." She found herself walking faster until she was keeping pace with Candy until they walked towards the armory. "So you know of me then?" She asked finally, surprised.

Candy smiled at Kris. "Dream is my pet project, I've been taking care of him for years. He's like a little brother and he tells me everything. He was so excited to have a new friend. I know he seems like a friendly person, but he has a hard time making friends because most of the students at the Academy take their cues from the teachers. Dream has just a few friends. He's got a young man named Tayte who he is helping to build wings for flight. And There's Max Abner, who is-ouch Dream!" Candy glared at him as he elbowed her, HARD. "Jeez you're so sensitive. So you have a crush on The-OW!" Candy grumbled as she closed her mouth. She opened the door to the armory.

"I don't talk about your love life, don't talk about mine." Dream muttered it under his breath but it was more than audible. He walked into the armory and stood before a massive sword that hung from a series of hooks. "So they finished it. I didn't think they could do it."

He touched the blade and it sparked scorching his fingers. "Ow! It really is just like I remember planning. This is StoneCutter, the Darkness destroying sword. It reacts to darkness like an electric eel reacts to being grabbed. I could never work on it because it would hurt me." He sucked on his fingers for a second. "Yup it works perfectly if it even detects Fang."

Candy leaned down to whisper in Kris' ear. "He designed this weapon and all the materials used in it. And as far as Max goes. He's got it bad. They met for the first time for real at the Christmas party and it was like watching puppies meeting for the first time. It was hilarious. He is Fifteen, acts like he older but he's been so isolated for so long that he's only emotionally developed to be about 13. His dad was the same way, is what my mom tells me."

Kristina smiled back at Candy as she was talking about Dream. "I've heard of Max a few times so far..." She commented, thinking Dream had said something to her about it. Candy opened the door to the armory and Kristina followed her in. Dream told Candy not to talk about his love life and Kristina found herself reaching over to pat him on the back. She watched as he stood in front of a massive sword, "Is it really that hard?" She asked confused, almost thinking it might be easier than what Dream was letting on. "Are you okay?" She asked, thinking he had cut himself even though the blade had sparked. Candy leaned in and it caught her by surprise, listening as Candy explained that Dream designed the weapon and all the materials used on it. Then told her more about Max. "Christmas party?" Didn't I go to that? "I think I remember that..." I never told Nicholas or Garrett about it. "That was such a wonderful party until after my brothers...." Kristina found herself forcing a blank expression to show on her face. "What is that sword made out of Dream?" She asked finally, once more her emotions were all over the place as it had been earlier. Her phone rang and it gave her an excuse to ignore them for a few minutes to answer it. "They did what?" She paused, glancing towards Candy and Dream. "I'll get them... yeah I'll let them know too." She hung up the phone before dialing Garrett's number, it went to force mail. "Pick up.... pick up..." She tried Nicholas and it went straight to phone mail. "I'm going to kill them...." She mumbled, forgetting that Dream and Candy were there.

Glanced at her as she tried to get her brothers to answer. "Candy lets go. I'll explain about the StoneCutter later. If her brothers are getting in trouble it means they're outside. We ran into a group of pips on the way here."

Candy stiffened. "If the pips are grouping that means a larger Darkness is in the city. We need to move quickly. Kris keep trying your brothers, text them and tell them to get inside NOW." Candy grabbed a sword from a rack. It glowed with the eerie green of a cats eyes at night. "Let's go. I'd tell you to stay here, but it won't work, since you're a big sister. So stay close to us and don't leave Dream's side! I'm calling the patrol to be on the look out." Candy lead them outside and ran down the main street. "Where were your brothers when they were last seen?"

Kristina listened as Dream told her he would explain the sword later and already guessed about her brothers, Candy's comment reminded her of far worse than them being outside. "They had gone home to see it was broken into and just recently left." She answered back, "It was that lady again Dream, I think she is in town." She left my mom alone this time but she encouraged my brothers to leave the house. She called her foster mother back, letting her know that Dream and Candy were going out and she was right behind them before hanging up the phone again. As they made it out of the Academy her phone rang and she answered it. "Hello, Nicholas where the hell are you? I told you not to go outside you idiot.... what to you mean Garrett isn't with you? Well don't stay outside go inside... Who is screaming behind you... no Nicholas stay on the phone...." She paused as the phone call ended before saying, "He hung up... said he wasn't with Garrett but that scream sounded like it was my younger brother.... I would say it's worse for him to stay outside but I guess he figured I might really kill him if he didn't drag Garrett back so he opted to go after him..." She paused again before adding, "Nicholas said that he lost Garrett near the Argi schoolhouse.

Candy nodded and turned down a side alley. "This will get us there in three minutes if you can keep up."

Dream knew that he and Candy could run much Faster than Kris could hope for. He shifted his feet suddenly and puled Kris onto his back, piggy back style. "Hold on!" He began to sprint, as only someone who had fused with a Razor could move. Candy kept pace by shifting her legs longer and takeing on a half human half gazelle form. Tey made it in two minutes and screaming could be heard.

"Dream! Stay back with Kris! I'll go find the brothers!" Candy was the Master Chaser, and Dream knew that he couldn't fight, his flimsy belt sword was not strong enough to fight a real battle he chose a different course of action.

"Kris Stay near me. I'm going to absorb the power from the Darkness around here. I don't know whats going on with your brothers but there is a massive number of pips and trouble makers here right now. If I pull enough power from them, they'll dissipate. I'm going to have to really focus to affect just them, so if someone comes at us, yell in my ear." He began pulling from the Darkness, his mind buzzing with their slick oily energy. He felt himself become physically ill, but held his focus. He could feel them begin to disappear, one after the other. But he could also feel Fang getting stronger.


Candy was slicing through Darkness. She hadn't seen a larger Darkness yet, but sometimes Darkness collected around really bad people. She called out to the boys, trying to find them.

Kristina listened as Candy claimed the alley would be much faster a route but Dream caught her by surprise, pulling her onto his back piggy back style. She hadn't done that since they were children, Nicholas used to do that all the time. If it wasn't for the fact that she was fearful for her brothers she would have fallen off of him by now. He told her to hold on and she did just that, thinking to herself that Dream either on accident or purpose was acting like a show off. It made her feel slightly happier at the thought. Candy had shifted and now they were by the school. She wanted to go in and find them but did as Candy suggested because it didn't sound like such a bad idea. Dream told her to stay near him and she listened, looking around making sure nobody was coming towards them. Her phone rang and she answered it, "Where are you?" Nicholas spoke, "I'm carrying Garrett out..." She looked towards the entrance to see that Candy wasn't with Nicholas and Garrett.

"Dream look..." She pointed seeing something coming from the side of the school. "What is that?" She asked, almost wanting to freak out but held herself together as she stood there until Nicholas was in reach. She moved away from Dream to help Nicholas carry Garrett, "What happened to him Nicholas?" He explained how they got separated and when he found Garrett he was already passed out. Kristina helped get Garrett off of Nicholas' back to help carry him. "Dream where is the patrol, I thought you said some would be here?"

Dream noted when the boys came out. He staggered as he let go of the absorb. He felt so charged with energy everyone seemed to be moving slowly.

Is this what Tayte sees all the time? His thoughts seemed to be lightning fast. he noted the boys and their condition and puled out his whistle. He blew three short bursts and he knew Candy would be there as soon ash she could but he also sensed the two Darkness that were near her, both Razors. She would be busy. As he looked at what Kris was pointing out he groaned. It was a Brute. And it was moving towards them. It hadn't settled on a form and currently looked like some kind of spaghetti monster with tentacles all over the place.

"Stay behind me. When I give the signal I want you to run to the house across the street and bang on the door. The Patrol is ten minutes from here if they run. There was another attack on the other side of town. I will hold it off as long as I can, you need to get in side the house, there are spells on the threshold to keep Darkness at bay." He pulled his hand up and summoned metal to him. Lots of it. Street lights melted and flowed towards him, manhole covers did the same. He was soon holding a sword almost as big as he was. He would need the weight to cut into the Darkness. He charged forward, swinging the blade as hard as he could while shouting at Kris to run.

His blade dug into the brute with a sound like like a plunger in a clogged sink. He tried to pull it out but tentacles sprung from the wound and wrapped around his weapon. He grinned. and made the metal spear out into a thousand spikes. It shredded the brute. He had won. He was about to turn and wave when the Razor slammed into him, slicing his chest to the bone. He screamed in agony as the wound began to bleed. In his fury he lashed out with his hand and the blood formed into a spear and lanced through the Razor. Killing it. Dream staggered across the street his chest bleeding like a pig with its throat cut. He was weak but he held onto his Absorb, knowing he could kill people. He had absorbed enough from the Darkness to heal from this. but it would take time. He pulled hs blod back into himself, which took more effort, but he couldn't risk bleeding to death. He would survive, but he would be hurting for a few days for sure.

Candy finished off the Razors and came around the corner to see Dream just as he was sliced. She watched him defeat the Razor and felt a surge of both pride and fear. She ran to him but the bleeding had already stopped and he was already near the children. His white ribs shown at the bottom of the wound. Candy felt sick. She had failed to keep him safe, like she had promised.

Kristina stayed behind Dream like he told them to, he then told them to run for it. She would do some of what he told her to but not all. She took off with Nicholas by her side, helping carry Garrett to the first house. It didn't take long for the couple to open the door and she followed Nicholas inside before going back out slamming the door behind her. Though by the time she had gone back outside she saw Dream on the bottom of the steps, looking like he just went through hell. "So that is Darkness...." She started, remembering the party again. She noticed Candy had come by looking horrible. "Are you both okay?" She asked, thinking of not having the subject on her for once. "Hey Dream... if you want me back inside at least let me help you up to the top step...." One could get from her comment she was hinting that she wasn't going in until he was on the top step.

Dream groaned as he realized she was still outside. "Get inside. I'm expendable. Besides the Darkness is gone. I just need to rest. Need..to Sleep." he was barely conscious only holding on by a thread, but he was holding on. If he passed out he would lose control of Absorb and his blood. Either way someone would likely die.

Candy scooped Dream up like he weighed nothing and nodded at Kris. "Lets get him inside. Get the people inside to prepare a bath, we have to wash the wounds, some Razors have poison." Once the tub was ready she stripped Dream to his underpants and dumped him in the water. The water quickly turned pink from the blood. Dream was barely aware of what was going on, but knew on some level that he was exposed. He didn't really care though. He was worried about his pet dog, who had died years before, yet for some reason he was convinced she was still alive and waiting for him to feed her.

The poison was spreading through his body already. But what no one knew was that the poison was acting like a drug, not because it was supposed to, but because Dream was partially resistant to it because of the amount of Darkness Energy he had absorbed. He was, essentially, high and dying of blood loss. He grinned at the girls standing over him. "The sky is fuzzy and warm...."

Kristina ignored him when he told her to get back inside, his comment earned him a reply back. "Dream..." She shook her head to him. "No." Something he would learn the hard way, she would listen only will she felt like it. She was about to go down the stairs to pull him up but Candy had come up from behind him and carried him up. Kristina opened the door for her and closed it behind them. Kristina was going to get the couple to start a bath for Dream but they were busy looking at her younger brother... One person at a time.... "What temperate Candy?" She asked as she prepared the bath herself instead of getting the couple to help them. "It sounds like the poison has really gotten to him..." She spoke to Candy, noticing Dream was smiling at her she smiled back before switching roles with the lady who owned the house. She found herself sitting on the floor next to Nicholas who seemed to be trying to rest. "When were you going to tell me?" He asked finally, "Tell you what?" She asked him back. "That some lady was calling to try and take us away... you don't have to do it alone you know... I'm still here to help." Kristina frowned at Nicholas, "I know... why did you leave earlier?"

Nicholas sighed, "I was following after Garrett, he said something about wanting to find the lady and getting her to leave us alone... I couldn't let him go alone, not to mention our house was broken into." Kristina sighed, So the lady might be in town after all... "Is he going to be okay?" She asked the man as he was helping her brother. "Yeah... he seems just weak from energy loss. You kids sleep here for the night." He finished before standing up to go help his wife and Candy with Dream. Kristina sat against the wall next to Nicholas, making sure to remain close to Garrett who was still sleeping. "It's going to be a long night..." She commented, trying to fall asleep. There was a noise, it woke her. She shifted to stand up and bumped Nicholas. "What are you doing?" He asked her, I want to know what that noise is... She answered him back, wondering if Dream or Candy stayed the night here. She stood up tempted to open the front door.

Candy stepped out from the room. "Don't." She moved to the door and listned. "They're not knocking so its either a Darkness or someone who can shield themselves from me."

Dream staggered from the room, his eyes wild, he was dressed in just his jeans his shirt having been tossed. He held up his hand and let out a feral sounding growl. He was completely out of his mind on the drug like effects of the poison. he charged the door and slammed into it head first, knocking himself out cold.

"This kid..." Candy sighed as she moved Dream. "I really needed to awake, buddy, to tell me what was on the other side, but judging from your attempt at attacking, its not good what ever it is." Candy set Dream down on the floor a few feet from the door. "I really bit off a good chunk of something when I promised to protect you."

Dream was out cold but Fang was wild with the Darkness poison in his. The eyes of the body opened and they were bright green, but Fang didn't have enough control to move the body. "Hiya sweetheart why don't you come on over here hey?" The tone and words were obviously not Dream and Fang cackled like a lunatic.

Dream took over again. "Damn it, hes coming back. Somebody shoot me please. And will you get that Razor to leave me alone!? Its energy is like getting punched in the gut after eating raw eggs and Sulphur!"

"Shut up wuss back, its great how can you not be feeling good, this body is wasted on you!" Fang was also speaking with Dream's mouth.


Candy looked at her cousin. "He's completely lost it. Kris, please kick him in the head and knock him out..." Candy opened the door slightly and shoved her sword into the Razor as it tried to force its way in. "They fall for it every time."

Kristina had stopped when Candy told her not to reach for the handle. She then noticed Dream staggered from the room, he made her think wild man before charging at the front door. She had barely moved out of the way before he hit the door knocking him out cold. Nicholas had been trying to fall back asleep but laughed at Vandy's comment. Kristina allowed a small smile to show on her lips when Candy moved him away from the door. Vandy's comment was interesting to Kristina but she chose not to ask her, for now. Kristina found herself looking at Dream when he spoke to her. "What the..." Dream spoke complaining and now she understood why he claimed to have Darkness. Though he spoke of a Razor before Fang was speaking once more. Kristina stared at Dream before grabbing at his shoulder, just enough pressure to allow him to be knocked out before releasing. Candy opened the door and shoved her sword into the Razor before closing the door once more. "How is it the boys all mamgae to sleep?" Sure Garrett was tired and she had just knocked Dream out but Nicholas had no excuse. She sat next to Nicholas waking him up by mistake, "Sorry." She allowed him to rest his head on her shoulder as she glanced over to Garrett who turned onto his side.
