Sammy watched intently as the female Chaser took on the last two Troublemakers. She felt a bit bad about abandoning Alana, but she had wanted to get back to Ally as soon as possible. The young girl was frightened and Sammy wanted to make sure she was uninjured. Sammy lifted Ally off of her lap and checked her over for cuts and bruises. This made her stir and open her eyes. She yawned and blinked at Sammy, rubbing her eyes. "Are you okay Ally? Did any of the monsters hurt you?" Ally shook her head slowly. "No, as soon as they got to the playground, I climbed the tree and they couldn't reach me." She smiled up at Sammy, before snuggling back into her chest. "Okay, you can go back to sleep now sweetie."
Sammy heard a scream and looked up in alarm, thinking that another child might be in danger. When she saw that the scream had only come from one of the Troublemakers, she relaxed once again and stroked Ally's hair. The child had been a bit tense, but loosened up as Sammy played with her hair. She seemed comforted, knowing that someone was there to protect her. The wind blew again, causing a shiver to go through her body, but Ally seemed unfazed, warm and safe in her little bubble. Sammy formed a small force field against the wind using her Telekinesis. This made the area around her slightly warmer, but not by much. She looked up in time to see one of the Troublemakers take a swipe at Alana's face, carving three shallow scratches in her cheek.
Sammy flinched, now she really felt bad for leaving Alana. She seemed to be in a bit of trouble, but a moment later she was fine. She lifted her scythe above her head and slammed it down on the Creature, causing it to explode into dust. The scythe disappeared and Alana made her way back over to the bench. She looked tired and sore, so Sammy gave her a bit of a push with her Telekinesis to get her to the bench faster. As she got closer, her hand made its way into her pocket, pulling out a tissue and dabbing up the little bit of blood on her face. "Well, that was intense, but not much of a challenge." She said quietly. Sammy nodded in response and patted the bench next to her, indicating that Alana sit down and rest in their warmth bubble.
"And who may this be?" She asked, looking at Ally. Sammy patted her hair and hugged her a bit tighter. "This is Ally, I rescued her from the tree over there. She was very brave about it." Sammy felt protective of the young girl, she wanted to give her a family and a home. She looked a bit thin, almost as if she hadn't eaten in a day or two and this made Sammy angry. The poor kid was all alone, probably living in a foster home or something. Instead of hiding her, I'm sure mom and dad wouldn't mind if I adopted her. That would be much better. And much more legal too. A smile crept across her face at the thought of adopting Ally. The child shifted and Sammy looked down, making sure she was comfy.
