Occasionally she will put her hair in a ponytail if it’s getting in her face too much, but she generally leaves it down. Her bright green eyes are slightly larger than the average human’s, this gives her an innocent “I couldn't hurt a fly” look. This look goes well with her normal attire. She usually wears shorts and t-shirt rompers. Some have flowery patterns, while others are solid colours or striped. This makes people think she is an innocent young girl, while she is really a mischievous deviant. Her favorite activities include running around her backyard, climbing the tall trees and hiding out in her tree house. She tends to be shy around newcomers at first, but eventually warms up to them. This can be a bit of a problem at times, as it makes it hard for her to make friends. Her big, green eyes make others underestimate her and this is a great advantage in her mind. This allows her to play tricks on people without them ever suspecting it was her and she gets a kick out of confusing them with her mischief. Nicolette's brother Isidore is her favorite victim. He loves flirting with girls and she enjoys embarrassing him by tripping him in front of them. Though she does sometimes feel a little bit bad about it afterwards. But just a tiny bit. Her most favorite hobby is exploring. She has found every secret hiding place and “secret passageway” in her house and has moved on to the outside. Her main adventure spot is the forest and she loves running through the trees, stirring the animals out of there hiding places. Her only fear while exploring the forest is that she will get lost at night and never find her way out, so she always bring her adventure kit. This kit consists of two flashlights with extra batteries, a first aid kit, snacks, a couple bottles of water, a drawing pad, three notebooks, a camera, some rope, a jacket, and a blanket all in one backpack. She takes this with her every time she goes exploring and likes to keep it by her bed in case she ever works up the courage to go out at night. Her shyness around new people has no effect on the rest of her life and she lives freely, running about and having fun. A mother who worked at the local newspaper writing articles for the whole town to read,a father who was a police officer, protecting the citizens of Argi from those who wished to do them harm, and two older brothers. As a young girl she was content with dressing up in pretty dresses and such for her mother, who absolutely adored having another girl in the house. As she grew older though, she became tired of dresses and frilly things. She wanted to go outside and explore, but that required getting dirty and she couldn’t do that in a dress. So she compromised with her mother, she would dress up for special occasions, but otherwise she was free to choose her own style. As was the nature of young children, she had too much energy and not enough time to get rid of it. She was impatient with buttons and zippers and picking out matching outfits, this lead to her love of rompers. Two in one clothing that could easily be slipped on and zipped up in five minutes or less, which went great with her favorite shoes, a pair of black converse. She would slip on a romper and put on her converse as quickly as possible (Those things are a pain to put on and take off. You have to loosen the strings and then tighten them comfortably again. It’s generally a hassle ,but they’re comfy and they go well with most types of clothing.) then she would run out back and go back and forth for hours. When she would tire of this, she would hide up in her tree house and doodle random scenery, people she would see pass by, and the occasional family portrait. Or sometimes she would just read. When she turned twelve she bought herself a bike with the money she saved up from selling her drawings and would ride it all over town (with her parents permission, ‘cause she is twelve). This was how she discovered that she had the power of telekinesis. She rode her bike to the library and locked it to the bike rack, after walking inside, she greeted the librarian. She had become kind of a friend as Nicolette made frequent trips to the library. She wandered through the shelves, examining books, reading the back covers or the first couple of pages to decide which ones to take home with her. As she made her way to the back she became discouraged, she couldn’t find very many books that interested her and she didn’t want to leave with only two, so she journeyed on. When she got to the YA section she became found a book that caught her eye. Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment. Thinking this would might be quite interesting, she picked it up and began reading. A couple pages in, she decided she liked it and turned to head back to the front desk and accidentally ran into a small table with a stack of books in it. Desperately, she attempted to catch them before they fell, as she didn’t want to create a disruption for any of the other Library patrons, when all of a sudden the books froze in mid air. She was confused and looked about. Was there a Chaser or Gifted nearby assisting her? No? Then what was going on? She had a theory and decided to test it, so she concentrated on a book and willed it to slowly make its way towards the floor and the book did exactly that. She was amazed that she had a power when her brother, Isidore, did not. Did it skip a generation? Or maybe it’s some freak mutation from exploring the forest. She joked to herself. “Heh, that would be weird.” Before any of the books could fall, she snatched them out of the air and set them back on the table. “There we go, good as new.” and she hurried to the front desk, checking out her books and shoving them in her backpack. Should I tell someone? She contemplated, deciding instead to keep it to herself. though it might be a bad idea to keep it secret it might be helpful to have a few tricks up my sleeve. She reasoned.
